i just spent the past 45 minutes searching various key words looking for tips, advice, and experiences with getting protein shakes mixed. No super recent info.
As a last laaaaast resort, yes, I will bring a shaker blender bottle. I’d like to rule out all other options first. I can shake that thing for an eternity and there would still be lumps.
Has anyone brought a battery operated small personal blender cup onboard? Yes, I know electric blenders are on the prohibited items list. Just wondering if anyone had attempted to bring one.
Has anyone recently gone to the coffee bar or juice bar and had them mix your powder with some milk and perhaps a banana? If yes, how much did they charge you?
Milk. Has anyone found non-dairy milk alternatives such as soy, coconut, or almond milk for free or purchase? I did notice one of the juice smoothies in the Senses juice bar had almond milk listed. I’d willingly pay the asking price of the beverage if they’d just throw the milk, a banana, my powder, and some ice into the blender for me.
How did you carry your protein powder onboard? The brand I currently use doesn’t offer single serve packets. I’m also adding collagen isolate powder to help with my joint pain and that, also, is a smaller canister. The nutrition shop I buy from printed me some adhesive labels for my protein & I’m about to purchase heat seal packets on Amazon to make my own single serve packets. I can pre-package my big scoop of protein with the collagen together.
Yep, I know this stuff has been discussed before. Yep, I did do some searches. Hopefully this thread will be useful info for others in the future.
And, for the inevitable person who will question why I don’t avoid the hassle altogether and just eat my nutrition.... in the past 6 months I’ve lost right at 50 lbs. I’ve worked VERY hard. Yes, for a while I was eating egg whites and spinach...I did cold oats with berries for a while...things like that. Where I am now in my journey is shakes for breakfast with maybe 1/2 cup of blueberries to nibble. I’m still progressing. This is what I’m doing and it’s working. I’m not interested in modification right now, not even for a cruise.
I’ll be on the Fantasy for 14 nights in less than a month. It’s important to formulate my plan for food, nutrition, and excersise now so I can relax and enjoy my time when I get there!
Thanks muchly in advance!
