Lesson learned. Need more days in Disney!!! Aug 2010 (NEW 1/20-COMPLETE)

I've filled up water bottles at that very same water fountain. I know, it's amazing when you think about it.

Hey, I'm glad you loved ToT and Fantasmic. When you said that you rode ToT a second time I was worried that you weren't going to make it into Fantasmic because I know people start lining up early.

It really IS amazing! To think, THE Glennbo filled his water bottle at that VERY fountain.

Coming out of my first ride, I had such an incredible rush, and seeing that there was practically no line, I didn't even think of the time and went right back on it!

That Theatre of the Stars is HUUUGE. I'm glad we were able to grab a seat, even though we weren't in line an hour before it started. I understand why some people do that though. It's probably a better view from the center, but really, it's a great show from all angles. Not that I would really know...I've only seen it from one.

I know! And imagine, I have to, er I mean get to, live with myself every day.

When traveling with a family I'd recommend lining up early so that you don't have to split up if you can't find seats together.

You wait Yuki...when you have kids it'll be a whole diff'rent ballgame! :faint:

Enjoy couples-touring while you can.

Oh dear....

Hm....This would be the perfect reason for Andrew and I to go back more! Let me see what HE thinks....

Well, I'll be bringing my younger sibs and cousins in 2013, course by then my sibs are old enough to drink and my cousins are in high school. Probably not the same as touring with kids, huh?

I really like the point of view of the hotel. Good job Andrew

AWWWWwwww:lovestruc

The most villain-like merch in there was Nightmare before Christmas stuff.

Awesome top hat. So Cool!

Uh oh! I have a feeling I might drop a LOT of cash in this store.

Ooooh, the Tower at night.

oooooh very nice!

I have to say I'm a total chicken when it comes to this ride, however I really love the theming and back story. But I'm thinking I might give it a second chance on my next trip.

I'll let him know! He was surprisingly good with the camera.

Yeaaah, I was so tempted! They had such adorable NBC stuff! I really wanted to at least get a shirt

oooooh very nice!

I just love that sign

Well, even if you're still too chicken for it, you can at least go through the queue. There's so much to look at!

Oh my gosh I got so behind on your TR!! I'm caught up now though.

She had her dad with her and he just smiled.

DSC00362.jpg

So I'm guessing that wasn't the smiling dad. You got a lot of pictures of angry people on your trip huh?

I'm glad you liked ToT. It's definitely my favorite ride in WDW. It's just perfect in every way: the theming, the attention to detail, the storyline, the special effects are amazing, and of course there's nothing like that feeling when you know you're about to drop! :scared1: I can't wait to be on it again!

Oh my gosh, you're the 1st to spot another angry white guy!!! I've never noticed him before! Wow, you're right my pictures seem full of angry people. I should take a more careful look at all my other pictures.

Man, that feeling....knowing you'll be dropping soon...but not knowing when it'll happen????? Oh my goodness. Especially since it might not even BE a drop! On my 2nd ride, we went UP first!!! I just love this ride.

I actually starting watching episodes of The Twilight Zone to prepare for this ride. I heard there was a lot of artifacts from the shows that they've decorated the hotel with. I've been able to find the glasses from the episode "Alone at Last". I love that show.

I've seen a bunch of episodes but that is the only one I remember. I've seen pictures of the glasses but I will be on the lookout next time to see them with my own eyes! (Which should have been TOMORROW but my trip was cancelled so I have to wait 3 more weeks!!! :scared1: I think I can make it though...)

I also wanted to comment on you getting into Fantasmic with very little wait. When I was there in August 2009 we tried to get into the first showing without waiting on line and the only seats that were left were SRO and the view was pretty awful in my opinion. But maybe that's because every other time I saw it we had great seats front and center (I like being able to feel the mist from the fountains :goodvibes). We decided to leave and try again for the second showing which was much much much less crowded and our seats were way better. So I'm glad you had a good experience with not waiting, but I'm not sure if that's the norm!

Looking forward to the next update!

Yes, keep your eyes out for the glasses!

I think I should have made it clear it was for the 2nd showing. It is always the show with the smallest crowd. Also, I think the lesson should've been to ASK THE CMs. If they didn't say we would be able to get a good seat if we lined up at that point, we would've saved it for the next trip. I think all these conditions have to be in place for a short wait.

Good point Glen and if you are a sol don't TORPEDO over seats !!!:rotfl2:

TTOT is my favorite ride besides POTC. I love it because it's so much fun and then my husband laughs are my screams of horror the whole time. He always tries to grab my hand and make me lift them up when we are dropping. He is soo funny and holds my purse so it doesn't go flying.

Haha, I LOVE that our bags go flying! It literally floats off the floor! That was a really cool thing for me. Had to pin them down with my feet.

Having your arms up when you drop is the best part!

I just wanted to pop in to tell y'all that I made some Grey Goose slushies last night! Andrew just bought home a bottle and bought me a Magic Bullet set with the blender!

I made it with frozen mangos, ice cubes, white sugar, orange juice with no pulp, and 3 ounces of the vodka. Andrew approves!!

It's not as sweet as the one being served in Epcot, but it was still very yummy. I added more orange juice to make the consistency more like the one in Epcot. In the end, it tasted more like a screw driver with a hint of mango.

As soon as he said he bought Grey Goose, the first thing I thought of was the Grey Goose slushie from Epcot!

HI Yuki! Loved the update! I see why you love DHS - there is alot going on there,:thumbsup2 I just get frustrated with trying to get around there.

So glad you loved TOT. I was thinking Andrew wouldn't really get on, with his stomach bothering him :rolleyes1

You got some cool night pics!:3dglasses

Hi Tammie, thanks!

Yes, there's so much to look at in DHS! I bought the imagineering field guide to DHS and I'm learning SO MUCH.

Yeah, it's a pretty confusing layout....I actually have a story about that on my "full" DHS day.

Yeah, I'm glad his stomach troubles calmed down. I don't know if I would've been able to get on that first ride without him!

I should take more night pics next time, it's very nice looking.
