I am so frustrated right now. We're taking someone who's never been before for a long weekend, two park days, staying onsite to get a jumpstart on MK. THIS MORNING I GET A NOTIFICATION THAT THE EMH HAS BEEN REMOVED FOR MK FOR THAT FRIDAY!! Everything has been planned, all our dining which of course nothing is available to get new PS. I do not understand how we need to plan and plan and plan 60 days out to get the rides/restaurants that we want and then *poof* Disney changes hours this close to our trip. I know an hour shouldn't make such a big difference, and our usual trips it probably wouldn't, but this trip we have so little time our perfect plan was to have that first hour or two in MK before hopping elsewhere.

That is ridiculous. Think of all those mornings people are up early, all those nights they are up late...... jumping through Disney hoops to make their plans. Then at the last minute they start throwing curve balls at you. That's just awful.

I don't think anyone at Disney thought about this when they dreamed up FastPass+

Yes, it's Friday, April 15. And now I get to sit here and wonder/worry/obsess if they're going to schedule the new early morning magic for that date which would make it even worse. Wonderful, just wonderful.

That really sucks.

I just looked at our week (April 2-9) and most of our park days have not changed... however, they added one hour of early EMH at Epcot on Friday, April 8, which is our Epcot day.

This shouldn't bother me too much, but it kind of does. We have an 8:00 Garden Grill mostly because I have heard wonderful reviews and we like to eat early so as not to waste park time, but also because we had our first ever pre-park opening ADR at Epcot last year and just loved walking through a quiet Epcot during F&G. It was so magical I just had to do it again. Now I'm disappointed because there will be crowds - and probably crowds all day due to the EMH, which we normally avoid.

HA! That is too funny!

Yeah, I try not to be an over-planner, but do want us to have a great time at Disney so I do the "minimum" for a message boards-type person (FP+ and our table service ADRs). And I really value flexibility and simplicity, so I try not to let this stuff bug me.

Even if our plans don't work out as planned, we will have a magical vacation anyway! pixiedust:

I plan everything too, but Disney has found a new way to mess with the very planning they expect us to do. It is frustrating! I hope you have a magical vacation!

Is there someone new in charge of Park hours and EMH? All of this erratic scheduling, last minute rescheduling, late to schedule plus the new paid EMHs leads me to wonder if someone new, gung ho and not particularly worried about established procedures and guest preplanning is calling the shots now.

I don't know what EE or PS means in this post, but YES an hour is everything when Disney basically forces people to plan so much in advance in so much detail. If they want you to "wing it" then they need to stop doing 180 and 60 in advance stuff.

Have the hours been removed b/c they've added the fantasy Morning or whatever it's called? Terrible.

I think you should let Disney know the dates when you set your plans and illustrate to them how their late-breaking changes affect that. ITA if they're pushing us to lock in dining at 180 days and FP at 60 (because of lack of availability if not booked that far out, due to lack of capacity), then they should lock in park hours then too. Or they should do something else to try to get the guest's planned experience back on track.
