So close to trip time!

Yeah. I completely missed it last time, didn't even know it existed, so I want to try and get it in this time. I figure our first park day is the best shot - while we've still got all that excitement and adrenaline waking us up early in the morning.

42 days to go! I'm so flipping excited! Work has been rough the past several days, and if folks walk close enough, they can hear me muttering "44 days.... 44 days...." LOL.

Nice! I love the welcome show! DH even asked if we could fit it in on this next trip! I hear you work is the same here always something crazy going on with 1000 moving parts I would rather be in Disney or on a beach!

I got it! I got that BOG breakfast for the 9th, at 8:15 am.

While it does cut into prime touring time, I think it will make the rope drop show easier to see, and still get DH his "hot" breakfast. Happy, happy, joy, joy, happy, happy, joy, joy!

Hooooraaaaay!!! That's awesome, girl! Congrats! Can't wait to hear what you think of it!

Upon further reflection, it's doubtful that I'll be able to watch the rope drop show and then make it to that ADR on time. So, I set it free..... Lol.

Magic bands shipped today! YAY!

28 days to go, and it feels like this last bit is flying.

I finished my little monster's cupcake jumper, and decided that it's perfect for travel day to disney, so I've hung it up high in her closet for now.



Also, I posted it in a separate thread, but has anyone ever heard of getting a call from disney about Lilo's playhouse pricing structure change? And how if you prepay it, you get a better price? My TA hasn't been able to confirm anything, and I don't want to fall for a scam, but would love to save the $$ if it's legit.

Okay, so, I bit the bullet and made the phone call. I hate HATE making phone calls.

I dialed 1-407-w-disney, and after a few transfers, was connected directly to Lilo's playhouse, where the lovely cast member confirmed for me that there are changes coming up, and the number she gave me matched the number on the voicemail I'd received a few days ago. I'm satisfied it's legit, so I'll call and prepay this evening. That's over $50 saved!!!

Sewing really is easier than it looks. I saw that fabric at the store, and just *had* to make her something out of it. It was so pricey, though, it couldn't be anything big, so she got a jumper.

As a matter of fact, they arrived late last night. And wow, that is one faaaaaannnncceeee box! LOL. I was looking forward to getting those luggage tags that match the bands, too, but I guess they were out that day - all they sent were three grey ones. But, they'll work.

Only 25 days left to go. It's hard to believe, after waiting so long. I'm so ready to walk back down Christmas Main Street. I've even been listening to Christmas music on my pandora - and I'm fully aware it's not even thanksgiving yet. LOL.

I'm making a quick shopping trip this weekend to nab the body glide, blister block bandaids, and fresh Ben-gay. Almost set!!!

Beginning this week, all Guests will receive the iconic gray luggage tag, featuring Mickey and Minnie, as we wait for more luggage tags in the additional colors to arrive. When the other colors return next month, they will once again match the Guests’ MagicBand selections."

Only 25 days left to go. It's hard to believe, after waiting so long. I'm so ready to walk back down Christmas Main Street. I've even been listening to Christmas music on my pandora - and I'm fully aware it's not even thanksgiving yet. LOL.

I'm taking the opposite approach! I'm making a conscious effort to avoid all things Christmas until my trip. I want the Christmas magic to begin when we arrive, and not one moment sooner!

Today's project:


Each with $3 cash and a couple little packs of sweet tarts or bottle cap candy in them. I had little monster help with the star stickers, so some of them are a little overboard. Lol.

Last time, we were driving, so I really went nuts with the mouse keeping tips, using the larger, colored lunch-sack sized bags, and had the tip $$, along with bath n body works hand lotions, candy bars, hand sanitizers, and the like. This time, with flying, it's a bit less over-the-top, but I still like doing something a little special for them. Cleaning up after folks ain't fun.

Six whole days to go! At least only three of them are work days.

So, I spent all day yesterday packing. This was such a different experience from just packing for DH and I.

Little monster's costumes took up pretty much an entire 29" spinner by themselves:


Then there's all the snacks and "just in case" stuff you've got to haul around with a kid, and I ended up with five checked bags, and one carry on. Ugh.



Husband thinks I've packed half the house, but he'll be glad to have it when little monster pitches a fit over something. Lol.

24 hours, we'll be getting on that plane!

.... And we're checked in with the airline. I had mine all typed in on my phone, and DH was sitting at the laptop with his and little monster's. There was literally a split-second between our clicks, and I got A42, he got A52 and A53. Still better than family boarding, so WOOHOOO!

Day 2 plans:

I began a pressed penny collection while I was there last time, but was woefully unprepared and only had one Mini M&M's tube of pre-82 pennies. I have been hoarding them over the past few years and now have over 200 pennies for pressing. I hope that's enough! I've been using a pressed-penny website to track which ones I need to complete sets, and which ones I'd like to start. Will do a semi-final update of that spreadsheet about a month before we go, I think, and a mostly-final update about a week before, and print a final copy a couple days before.... LOL. I currently need 94 pennies, 4 dimes, and 280 quarters. $71.34 total for a souvenir AND activity? Can't be beat.

Penny pressing is the best!
