so Sunday morning we are flying from Manchester to CDG and staying in hotel in La Defense for 3 nights... plan is to take RER B + A to get to hotel, unpack and go to see Eiffel Tower RER A or Merto 1 (w/o going up) and take one of the cruises from there so we can have some more idea what to see later and distance etc... - was thinking to get us a mobilis ticket for a day the E14, can we buy them from the machine at the airport or need to find a ticket booth?

Monday is day at the parks:mickeyjum so we just use RER A both way with mobilis E14 again i guess?
while in parks that what I'm thinking...
arriving around 9 to get our sky tickets exchanged and then breakfast at Disneyland Park Hotel and starts at Studios with cars, try to see Mickey at her meet and greet (I believe it should be less waiting than in the main park) and just walk around and do what we fancy before taking our son to see Mickey Mouse Playhouse live...
in the man park i tried not to plan what to do *** its going to be very busy so we just want to walk around and see how our son will do will all these waiting... are there any rides for the little one we can try to get fast pass? we are back for longer in march so no much to try a lot and with the crowds and warm weather we just want to enjoy ourself and not to get stress to much... do some shopping lunch at pizza planet maybe tarzan... hopefully see anniversary train and we our son wont be to tried try to stay till parade and it might be to much for him... i was also thinking maybe go back to studios for parade there, do you think it wont be to much walking then and back? of course we will have a pushchair for a little one but its going to be long day anyway...
also can i find any attraction with 101 dalmatians in any of the parks?

Tuesday - my birthday:cake: and day in Paris... was thinking of getting the Paris Vistei for E9.30 ticket for a day? or better just pay for single trip... i dont know how many we will do and if we will be back at the hotel during a day... was checking the zone and our hotel is fist stop in zone 3, so dont know if i can buy a booklet of 10 tickets?our station got rer a and metro 1 so could we use them for metro?
we just want to walk around Champs Elysees, go on the Montparnesse tower and spend some time at the Luxemburg Park, what else would you recommend to see/do with a little one... also any recommendation for lunch, Bday dessert etc?

Wednesday - flying back home- where can i check the prize for one way ticket to the CDG from La Defense?

hope i didnt bored you will my longest ever post... any help will be much appreciated...

TIA:goodvibes

Hi

We just got back from Paris, Sun - Tues in the city, Weds. and Thurs. in DLP.

Think about what zones you will be using when in the centre of Paris, as the Mobilis card is usually purchased for Zones 1 -3, but you get get Zones 1 - 2 if you ask and it is half the price.

You will obviously need Zone 5 to get to DLP.

We got a two day Mobilis and then seperate ticket from Zone 2 to DLP, a bit of a faff, but cheaper.

The Bateaux Bus is quite good, I think it was around 15 euros, this is for the day of hopping on and off at points around the Seine. We got on at the Eiffel Tower and then off a bit further down. It was nice to just have a sit down and take in an alternative view of Paris. Your son may enjoy this too. One of the stops is Luxembourg gardens - there is a sweet boating lake in the gardens, so get yourself a toy bateaux!

Don't forget the Sacre Coeur, there is a little carousel at the bottom and a funicular tram up the hill, again, both of which could be good for a toddler. If you then walk off to the right (your back to the church) and around the back then take a left, this brings you to a lovely square, full of artists, who will do a pencil drawing of your son, or cut out a sillhouette, it is a lovely keepsake. (If they do one without asking and offer it, ask how much and they will say 10 or 15 euros, say 5 and they will take it!!! Afterall, you didn't ask for it and they take the chance you will want to buy it.

We went to the Pompidou (you could combine this with the Gardens, as the fountains and water sculptures are really good, but they weren't working, so it was a bit dull, the huge escaltor up the side of it is fun for kids.

As for eating in Paris, we found a chain called Hippo, the steaks were very good and they cope with children very well, which not all restaurants in Paris do!!

Have a lovely time, but don't try and do too much - like we did and end up exhausted!!!

P.S Don't bother up the Eiffel Tower, big queues and too many steps (the lifts aren't both working!!!). Instead, go up the Arch de Triomphe early evening (if you son is still up), no queue and a lovely view accross the city and over to the Eiffel Tower.

Just thought about the parks, not sure about the fast passes, they all seemed to be for scary things, Like Snow White and Peter Pan, not sure these would be OK for a 20 month old!!! Dumbo is always a big queue and Its a Small World during the day, but in the evening, is likely to be a walk on (well it was when we were there). Your son may like the Tarzan Show, lively and visual, even if he doesn't understand what is going on!

I can't think of anything with Dalmations, except for the car that was used in the film, which is up outside the Tram Tour queue area. He will like Toy Story Land, although the Slinky dog will be perfect for him, it is a 47 second ride for probably an hour wait -not worth it in my opinion.

Don't forget if you both want to do a ride, you can do 'Child Swap', so you don 't have to queue twice, it worked well for us when our dd was little - now at 7 she goes on most thing - including Tower of Terror!!

I am sure there are others who know far more about the parks than me, who will have some other good ideas.

La Defense is a funny one transport wise as it's zone 3 on the RER and zone 2 on the metro line 1

The Mobilis zone 1-5 that you will buy at the airport costs 14,20€ now and you can buy it from either the machines or from the ticket office

Monday is day at the parks:mickeyjum so we just use RER A both way with mobilis E14 again i guess?
Would again be the easiest - You can buy the 4 Mobilis cards at the same time as it's you who writes the date and your name on it on the day that you use it and if you are paying by card you'll only pay one set of bank charges - saves you time as well :thumbsup2

If you take only the metro and bus you are in zone 2 so a carnet of 10 tickets t at 12,70€ would be possible.

If you take the RER going or come back to the RER station you are in zone 3 and your tickets wouldn't work so you'd be better off getting a day pass and the Mobilis zones 1-3 is cheaper than the Paris visite at 8,55€

Wednesday - flying back home- where can i check the prize for one way ticket to the CDG from La Defense?

11,25€ from La Defense to CDG

will add this to our list as it near where we are going to thanks a lot...

As for eating in Paris, we found a chain called Hippo, the steaks were very good and they cope with children very well, which not all restaurants in Paris do!!

there is hippo in the shopping mall near our hotel so we might even get there for our first meal after unpacking... i need to feed my boys before we can hit Paris so there is no looking for food straight away

Have a lovely time, but don't try and do too much - like we did and end up exhausted!!!
that's what the plan but we will see how it works out

P.S Don't bother up the Eiffel Tower, big queues and too many steps (the lifts aren't both working!!!). Instead, go up the Arch de Triomphe early evening (if you son is still up), no queue and a lovely view accross the city and over to the Eiffel Tower.
we only are going to have a look outside no way we will wait in the queues and even pre booking you still need to wait... we will go to the montparmasse tower, it was recommended here quite often and is close to Luxemburg gardens
