Less than 48 hours!!!!!!

We leave bright & early on Sun. morning. Driving NJ to Florence SC. Next AM, up & out to OKW. After a week, OWK to HH. Pre-booked a Private Affair w/ Chef Gordon. Leaving HH for NJ on 8/28 & planning on driving it in one day. We go to HH every Aug., but this is the first time we've combined OKW & HH. Never been to WDW in the summer. But we plan to take it easy, because thanks to DVC, we'll be back to WDW in March! The massive blackout put a crimp in packing last night, but we'll make-up for it tonight & will be set to go on Sun. We'll probably stay online during the trip, I'll post anything of major interest.

What is this private affair with Chef Gordon?

A Private Affair is a wonderful dining experience at HH. Chef Gordon cooks just for your party & the meal is wonderful. He serves it at the Beach House, facing the ocean. You must book it in advance. For Aug., I booked this dinner months ago. I learned about "APA" from these Bds.- probably from Doc. Last summer, we had a rainy wk. in HH & APA stood out as the high point of our wk. Oldest DS is 16 & not alot of family activities thrill him. He has asked several times about APA. Quite a compliment to Chef Gordon!

I will be leaving tomorrow morning too, but I'm flying. This will be my first stay in a one bedroom at BWV. Stayed there previously in a studio.

We have a 1 BD at OKW w/ a studio for our last nt.(point stretching) We're staying in a 2BD for the whole HH stay. DSs love 2BD, but we really wanted to add this OKW stay to the front of our annual HH trip. So we are bringing our Eddie Bauer air mattress, so that the boys don't have to share a bed.
