Less than 3 days to go and I'm sick!

I hate my children! Those rotten kids bring home some kind of virus a week before we go on vacation, get over it and give it to me, their loving father.

Why didn't my parents warn me about things like this? Wait, that's not true. When we told my dad we were expecting he looked at me, said "I thought the dog would have been enough of a burden for at least a few more yrs", then he hugged me.

I better get over this cold or I'm putting the kids on ebay! I'll even pay the shipping!

Just in case my kids decide to sue me for some wierd thing latter in life...THIS IS SARCASTIC!! (except the part about hating my kids for making me sick)

Well, look on the bright side. At least you have 3 days to try to get over it and didn't come down with it your first day there! Take good care of yourself, check with your dr. and make SURE you have a virus that can't be treated. The reason I say this is I have a friend who thought she had caught the virus that her dd had been diagnosed with a few days earlier but it turned out to be a sinus infection so she suffered for a couple of days until she went to the dr. and got anitbiotics which helped her out very quickly. And don't be mad at your kids. Be mad at the parents of your kids' friends and classmates who send them to school or to play with your kids even though they are sick. No flames please because as a parent I DO know sometimes things hit quickly but I also as a teacher know that there are a lot of parents who go ahead and send jr. to school with all kinds of symptoms and FEVER which can then wipe out half the class for the following week. I also have a sil (who I love dearly) but a couple of years ago two of her kids were ill right before Thanksgiving. I felt bad for her that they weren't going to make it to my mil's house for dinner. Then I found out that she was going to bring them anyway. Even though there were 10 cousins including 2 infants that would be there. Needless to say we visited with my in laws the day before Thanksgiving and opted to eat turkey with another relative. (And I always wondered why when my kids were little that they'd get sick about 2 days after a family gathering.) Good luck and hope you feel better ASAP!!!

Take that stuff that shortens colds, I think it's Zicam. It works great. Don't sell the kids, they're worth it in the end, really, lol . Have a great time. Being sick at WDW is much better than being sick at home.

We're leaving on Friday and both DDs (14, 16)are sick. The oldest didnt even go to school today. She had a fever last night... I am PRAYING that I do not get this. We've had this dang vacation planned for 7 months.

I feel your pain. 3 days to go here too and I feel like I'm coming down with something. I've been pumping in the vitamin C and you can bet tonight will be a Nyquil night.

You have plenty of time to kick this thing if you take care of yourself. I too was sick as could be with some strange bug last year when we went. In fact the day we left for WDW I was extremely ill which delayed our departure severla hours. I felt like death. That was a travel day with the actual checking in at WDW to be the next day. I woke up on that check in day feeling great. We called it Disney magic and had a great time...oh except my father in law had a heart attack the last day of our trip. He is fine after heart surgery but in no rush to go back to Disney. Take care of that virus!

Zicam guys. It really, really works. The sooner you use it, the faster it works. Vitamin C and Echninacea are good too, but you have to use it for a while to build up your immune system. Go get the Zicam. Trust me!
