Less than 2 weeks to go - EMH or avoid it?

Well, I have less than two weeks to go and I am starting to wonder about EMH. I seen reports that the crowds in the mornings are worse than on non EMH days. What is everyone's opinion or experience if you have just returned? I still have time to change my plan of attack!!

This is a very good question, we are not getting a lot of reports about EMH. Where are the FTP people that should be returning from thier trips?? Help us!!

We just got back on Sunday from 2 weeks at WDW. We did EMH everyday except our last day on Saturday. We went to MK on Sat instead of the EMH park (MGM). We found it to be a lot less crowded on the non-EMH park than it was for EMH parks. Well less crowded in the first 2 hours. By 11:00 or so it didn't matter if it was EMH or not it just got crowded.

We had wanted to get the extra hour of park time so did all EMH, but I think after seeing the differences of doing a non-EMH we might have not done all EMH.

I think if you are going soon you should try a day of each and then judge for yourself on the crowd levels.

7/6 MK EMH was crowded. My kids wanted to do Space Mtn. a few more time before we left the next day. So I told them if they got up early and we did EMH they could ride it a couple of times. Well was I wrong. They did get on 1x but the line was waaaayyy long.

Was there from June 27 - July 3. This was just prior to all the FTP folks so I'm sure things have changed. We only opted to do EMH at MK. We found it helpful and then just left for Epcot after it got too crowded. We never used it for the other parks and never waited for than 20 minutes in line. Most times, we waited 5-10 minutes at most. We took advantage of of Fast Pass as well. It works great. We also noted that the posted time for the ride was always off. We reluctantly ventured onto Test Track even though the wait time stated 40 minutes. We were in the car though within 20 minutes.

We did not do any EMH while there last week, in fact scheduled around them. Weather has not been kind to WDW goers this week, Hurricane in the Gulf. I will do my best to get it straighten out before you arrive. I am sending you a PM on some thoughts.

We were at WDW June 29 - July 5 and did EMH for all parks except for Epcot. I had very good results with EMH. We were able to do everything we had planned before noon. We were even able to get a few fastpasses during the EMH, which meant we were able to do a few rides twice. My advice is that if you do plan on doing EMH, plan on leaving the park between 12:00 and 1:00. By that time, the park is extremely crowded.

On MK EMH, we only did Fantasyland and Adventureland. We had done Tomorrowland and Frontierland during E-ride night. That meant on MK EMH day, we skipped those and did the things we hadn't done yet.

Like another poster said, do it both ways and see which way you prefer. Just remember, if you plan on using WDW transportation, be at the bus stop 1 hour before park opening on EMH day (7:00) to make sure you get to the park to enjoy the extra hour.

An alternative you might like to try which I have used with great success in the past is to got to a given park the day after it has EMH. Be there when the park opens and crowds are generally light.

Kimmar, I am floored. With all the knowledge you have and EMH is throwing you. It is the same as EE, does that sound familiar? If not, I may have to revoke your WL Vet status!

(No, it is a perk of staying onsite, you get to enter a different park each day an hour before the official opening.)
