I am at WDW right now (FEB. 8th) and the crowds are not bad at all. In fact when I pass through the parking lots at the assorted parks, I can not believe all the open space there is for parking during peak vacation periods. I have never been to Disney during any peak periods it must be very hectic, because their is a lot of blacktop open spaces in the parking lots during this time of year. I go at assorted time frames during the year between Oct. and May, and during those time frames, we never go to WDW when most children are not normally attending school.

School administrators do not like children being taken out of school for family vacations. However, our children never had trouble concerning falling behind in their studies. Both of our children graduated from high school as honor students. They both really enjoyed the above and beyond of their fellows addition time off from the educational process. They are now young adults and still talk about their trips to WDW, while they were growing up.

Sounds like you're going to get to see and do a lot during your trip:earsboy:

My experience with taking kids out of school for WDW trips is similar to yours. In most cases our DDs teachers were very excited for them.

Yes, this is a good time of year to go. It will only get more crowded as spring approaches, enjoy it while it lasts.

I agree 100% Rich! We also pull our kids out for 3 or 4 days for our trips. They are caught up quickly and we have a wonderful time with less crowds. DD who is in 5th grade actually worried a little this past trip, but she just got her report card and she got straight A's. I am an aide at one of the elementary schools so I am MIA also - but that is the only time I'm out! We believe family is just as important (or more so) then attending school.

I will get off my soapbox now . . .
