Hello,

My son has severe autism and behaviors. He loves Disney, but he cannot handle waiting and hot temperatures. I know Disney is always busy, but I also know some times (like Christmas) are way worse than others.

It's been about 3 years since we went to Disney. What are some good/"non-busy" times to go?

Thanks!

September is the slowest month. Humidity can be quite high. October is better, but there are Fall breaks and Halloween. November (other than holidays) and early December are mostly good bets.

Other months have slow weeks. It's about what you might expect... When most schools are in session, crowds are low.

Unfortunately for us, January is not as slow as you might expect.

I think if you pick a week that kids are in school, try to stay away from things like weekends, holiday weeks, marathons, cheer competitions, etc. you will probably have the best luck. (I do realize there are a lot of variables there) Also early mornings we find are less busy than later in the afternoon, especially if you hit the less popular rides and maybe bank some Genie+ selections later in the day. We are going in 2 weeks and hoping for a few less crows but have always found February to be a great month to go both in crowd size and weather.

I tell people look at the hotels ( even if your not staying there) and when they are cheapest that is when Disney is the slowest

I would go at end of January and into February for the lowest crowds and no heat. Avoid the fall if you do not want to deal with heat. September and even into October are very humid and hot still. Early December is nice weather wise but can be busy. There really is no true slow times anymore, just different levels of busy.
