I am glad to be back again, Julie. You are right when you say that it is about being back in control. I must admit, it feels nice.
Amazingly, I did get some sleep last night. The girls were too tired to stay up too late, thankfully.
Oh! I am down 1 lb.!! It feels really good to be on the losing side again. I know that this quick loss is temporary and it won't be as easy to lose as time goes, but I am relishing every lb. gone when I get it.
Yesterday went very, very well and all of my food was as planned.
The only thing that I could have done without was eating the 2nd piece of lasagna and a garlic bread. However, I will not hold this against myself since my overall calories for the day were still very good. Besides, "in the before" I would have probably eaten more than 2 pieces, would not have had as much fruit through the day and would have added in a bunch more empty calorie snacks. So this was a WIN! Water was 74 oz and I didn't eat after 8pm. Not really tempted. What I didn't do was ........exercise. Surprise, surprise. But I was up moving around alot more as I got things done around the house and at the store. Not that it replaces the exercise, but at least I wasn't vegging all day.
Today's food:
Breakfast - 1 egg over easy, 1/2 slice 7 grain toast w/jelly, 4 strawberries, 1 c 1% milk, 1 c tea
AM snack - 4 saltines w/ pb
Lunch - tuna roll up, 1 sm banana
PM snack - hard cheese, celery
Supper - ????? maybe leftover lasagna & salad, or ?????????
Goals for today:
1. water = 60 oz
2. no eating after 8pm
3. exercise = 15 min (this is a priority goal)
Yesterday, I started looking at reviews for treadmills. I want to get a quality treadmill but of course there is a budget. Some of them are nice in the fact that they cushion your walking making it easier on the knees and hips which would be very nice for me. I figure, for the cost that it takes to join a gym or Curves, you can have a treadmill at home and it will pay for itself in a year or just over once you consider gas.
I have bookwork to do at some point. But, mainly, I think I will take rest of the day and sort some pictures. Kind of a way to clean up more in my office and get the extras out of my closet. DH ended up with tons from closing up his father's home years ago and I am going to divide the duplicates (triplicates, quadruplicates, etc) amongst the children then scan the others and put on CD. I figure they can then print what they are interested in, but at least I have shared them all.
Well, I am off. Everyone have a great weekend!

), a small bit of bread, and a small salad. I almost didn't add the salad and my energy at that point was waning. But I reminded myself that I am making changes and the salad at least provides fiber. I really think that this help keep me from eating more lasagna and more bread. I will have to keep remembering that. About 8pm, I was wanting something sweet and almost grabbed a poptart (very rare in our house) but saw that one is 200 cal.
, I took a small handful of trail mix that had nuts, raisins, craisins, and sunflower seeds. Amazingly that really helped curb the need for sweet. Water was at 70 oz.
Actually, I ended up doing very little yesterday. The kids and I played a game a few times, but I didn't dig into any projects. I am just going to look at it in the sense that we all need a day to just relax and enjoy the peace and some family time.
Food was as planned for the most part with a few changes. DH ate all the salad mix, so for lunch (after quick thinking) I had turkey on 7 grain w/ spinach and mayo along with walnuts and craisins on the side. Right before supper I had 3 saltines w/pb. Supper was a Subway 6" chicken teriyaki on wheat w/cukes, tomatoes, mayo & sweet onion sauce along w/chips. Later, I had 1 c of hot cocoa. Water was 64 oz. DH really wanted to eat out, so he brought Subway home. Needless to say, I didn't enjoy the flavor as much I thought I would.
)
In the afternoon, I really had the munchies, so fortunately, I turned to some nuts. Guess I need more protein. Skipped the salad at supper, then later wanted something sweet so I opted for 4 nilla wafers and chamomile tea which seemed to work. That means I didn't give in to the ice cream that everyone was eating.
Does she not know we are still in the winter officially? As it turned out she had a high temp. Then I couldn't get back to sleep. By the time I did it was 6:15am and you guessed it......I was late getting DS6 up for school. We barely made it. So somehow I still have one kid home.
Not a happy camper here. I have sick children, late children, am tired, seriously delayed my breakfast (almost 10am), and you can't wait until I am done signing?
My shoes are not as snug. All I could think of was that lady on that commercial.
The only things that I added was 2 saltines w/pb shortly before supper and 1 sm piece of dark chocolate after supper. Water was 88 oz at least. The one thing that I should have done differently was add a salad with the pizza so that I didn't eat as much.
