The meal at Japanese place looked so cool.
If Trent was not so picky, we would check that out for sure
That is crazy about the father and his football catch
Those shoes and socks were so crazy looking
They do have options for picky eaters (Diane can attest to that with her son) GREAT meal! What Diane didn't mention is that the little boy who was playing football with his father then turned and "flicked off" the other father and the crazy football father patted his son on the back, WHAT NERVE!
We loved eating at Teppan Edo when I went with my ex-BFF in late January 2008. It's weird that we got the same reaction when we ate dinner there plus a couple of other places when a couple of CM's asked if we were sisters and when we said we were friends, they gave us a funny look

I said the same thing to her that people must have that same thought at the dinner table.
What a strange and coincidental world! I am taking online courses through University of Phoenix! (working my way to earn an Associates in Hospitality/Travel/Tourism plus my Business Management degree) I absolutely LOVE UoP's online classes!!
I hope you have good news that you were able to get your gnome after all!
Too funny! Small world indeed, maybe I'll have you in a course someday : ) NO, wish I had good "gnome news" but alas they DID not have them!!! Bummer!

Lovin the updates! Looks like so much fricken fun!
It was a lot of "fricken fun" : )
Oh I just love all the drink pics along the way today! From the slushies to the sunsets! And of course the empty glasses!! That is TOOOOOOO much that he thought you were a couple (yeah, meeting on the internet, probably not the best explanation!!

-- but it is even better than funny because it is true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Perfect. Only on the DIS! The topiaries are just darling! Wonderful shots and I just love love love those tshirts in the shop in China, very cute, I will take a look at those this summer! Thanks for the shopping lead!

What a great way to end the evening, with Disney dessert treats and wine. Good grief, you girls were spoiled appropriately! Looking forward to your final day!
Yeah, didn't know what else to say about how we met, I'll have to work on that : ) Your welcome on the shopping lead. Yes, we were VERY spoiled!
Happy Mother's day!
I love the Chinese umbrella, and $12 is a steal.
Thanks for the updates.
Thanks, hope you had a good Mother's Day, I agree, GREAT price on the umbrellas, Lauren LOVES it too!
Great update! Those drinks look yummy... we have an ADR there in June, and I think I know what I'll be drinking with dinner!
That father in China... ugh. I've had students who have parents like that, you can always tell by what the kids think is appropriate. I'll never understand why "fun" has to include putting others in harms way.
Turndown service looks amazing! I'm looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip.
You will love the drink. Turndown was a nice treat. More to come : )
It's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read the "everyone thinks were lesbians" comment, it would have been all over the laptop. It brought back fond memories of a trip in 2005 when my best friend and I went on a girls only trip. That year happened to be our 15th year of being friends and we decided that we would buy something for each other that we would always have....a piece of jewellery....yup we bought these gorgeous rings and never thought a thing of it....a right hand ring, we were wearing them on our right hands as her wedding set was on her left. We laughed our heads off when people would ask if we were sisters and we would say no....that pretty much ended all conversations!! Ahhh memories with your friends, ya gotta love them!!
Good thing you weren't drinking : ) Too funny about the jewlery.
Another round of great updates!!!

Those topiaries are all so pretty!
What a jerk of a man to be attempting to throw a football in the middle of World Showcase! Go back to the resort for that!
What is up with those shoes and socks??? They don't even look like they would be remotely comfortable!
I am laughing so hard over your Teppan Edo dinner! Thank goodness for Tokyo Sunsets and windy umbrellas!
What a shame about the Mickey garden gnome, but I am pretty sure I saw it for sale on the
Disney Store website. Can't wait to see which earrings you bought!
Glad you enjoyed the updates, yes the topiaries are beautiful, they do such a nice job. I'll have to check out the
Disneystore website : )
I'm so late to the party but I've caught up! Great trip report you have going here! Rides, food and fun stories!
That dad throwing a football and hitting a child?

There is plenty of room around the resorts for that. If I was the dad of that child I would have found a CM immediatly.
Too bad it was such a short trip. We are heading out to the Poly CL this June for some family time. Your adults only trip sounds so nice and relaxing.
Welcome, better late than never! Wish the trip could have been longer, but we will be there in June together, will be here before you know it. Enjoy the Poly CL, sounds HEAVENLY!
Sounds like another great day. I love the Ice Cream Mickey Ears that girl has on in Diane's photos from the Japanese restaurant--did you happen to see them for sale at any particular store while down there?
I had never seen those before either, I didn't notice them in any stores but I wasn't looking, I bet they have them in Mousegears.
Great Updates....sounds like a wonderful casual day at Epcot. What a great way to end the evening with snacks and drinks from the WL lounge
It was a wonderful casual day! Thanks for reading/posting
GREAT evening ladies!!!! Those drinks looked so yummo!!!! You all had such a lovely time it looks like! Can't wait to see what is in store for the last bit of this trip!
They were YUMMO!!!! : )
Gosh, I can't believe I just found this Lesley!! Oh well...I am going to catch up now!
Welcome!!! Glad you are here!
Great update, I laughed out loud imagining the conversation with the chef. I'm sure it was even more so for Tim and Bryan on their guys trip
Who can't find anything to do at Epcot and feels the need to bring and throw football, in a crowd? (I hope they at lease purchased it there and didn't bring it in the park

) That is strange.
Looks like a nice relaxing day, love, love, love Epcot.
We're on the countdown and I'm making last minute dining changes, upgraded to deluxe to spread it over 3 days, since we're doing a split stay, saved us some $
Look forward to the last day's stories.
Yeah, the chef conversation was funny, when he walked away the dad next to us said "man, he was SO nosy" as if he felt sorry for us, too funny! Enjoy the countdown and last minute changes, ALWAYS fun!
LOVE your update! Teppan is on our list too, and those sunsets are looking pretty tasty!! But, I think the Booze Budget is only going to afford 1 drink during the day. Would you pick the Grey Goose or this if you had a choice??
You will love Teppan Edu, OMG that is SUCH a hard question. Personally if I HAD to choose it would be the Tokoyo Sunset, I just LOVE the flavor, but I bet Diane would pick the slushie : )
Thanks Melody
Great update, girls!
Those drinks look fabulous! I must try those sometime.
The topiaries at Epcot were beautiful. I am hoping to get down there next year to see them!
Too funny about the lesbian thing!
I can't wait to hear about your last day!
Erika
Hi Erika, glad you enjoyed the update. Thanks for reading/posting
Joining in and loving the report! Sounds like a fantastic trip!!!
Thanks, it truly was.
Those socks are just hideous. I don't get it. LOL!! Ouch on the feet!
I know!!!
Great updates! (Now that I caught up, lol.)
I have to comment on the socks/shoes. My sister is a Japan buff and knows lots about them. If I remember correctly, the socks are worn with the wooden clogs (flip-flop/thong looking shoes) when a woman dresses in the traditional Kimono. So, while they may looks silly or hidious, they are very traditional in Japanese culture.
There's my lesson for the day!
I actually saw the socks on the servers in Teppan Edu and understand the function of them, but those shoes!?! What the heck!?!
