I was thumbin' my way through broadway.com and found out that Les Miserables is coming back to Broadway. How cool is that? I'll admit though, I'm a little surprised...not that I don't want it to not come back, just surprised is all. It closed in NYC on May 18, 2003 after 6,680 performances. I always thought it was around 10 years before someone did a revival. I guess the show is that popular. Just thought I'd pass that along for all you theater buffs out there. Click here for the show's information.

Thanks for the heads up. DW loves this show and may be interested in it. Jay

 Oh yeah! You just made my day. I've got to plan a trip to NYC now. First I have to find someone to go with me because that surely isn't a place I want to travel to alone.

Rick if you read this - when are you free to meet up with a fellow DISer? :cool1:

I remember hearing about this a few months ago (I like by Manhatten).....I'm surprised too, but its only a limited 6 month run, so I guess they figure they'll make a decent amount of money :confused3

Not that crazy about Les Mis, but I know a lot of my friends will be thrilled! ;)

Les Mis is my favorite musical of all time. I have the complete symphonic recording and practically have the entire thing memorized. My favorite line from any musical ever comes from Les Mis and it is the last line in the show before they sing the finale. It is....." To love another person is to see the face of God." I still get chills thinking about it Don't know if I'll be able to get to NYC to see it, but I sure would like to!

I immediately texted my sister. She's OBSESSED with the show. My whole family adores it! Maybe thsi can be more incentive to get up to NYC.

I heard it was coming back. it is a bit soon fir a revival, but...Les Mis is an institution. I must have seen it 7 or 8 times.

my dd's know one of the girls who played Young Cosette (that was five years ago, the girl is a high school junior now), aand we were lucky enough to see her perform in the show.

Thanks for the tip, Les Mis is one of my favorites, love to see it again.

I don't live in NYC, but I work there. I'd meet you somewhere!

At the end of this play we're another year older...anyone ever see the Forbidden Broadway parody of the show?
