We have this as an ADR and one that we haven't been to before..how is the food?? Has anyone seen "Remy" there??

Here is Remy's current schedule:

Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

Thanks for sharing..I was lucky enough to have a cast member share when I booked haha

Without even looking at a schedule we have had visits from Remmy in June 2010 and march 2009.

The food. Well. Some of the best French onion soup I have ever had. I always get the French plate of toasted ham and cheese sandwich and French pinion soup. Served with a salad.

We keep going back year after year.

We had lunch with Gkids (5,3,1 at the time) and Remy was a real hit...especially with the youngest. He was just mesmerized. Chefs is one of my must do's every trip.

I love getting a window seat and watching the world go by and DH adores the creme brulee:goodvibes

REMY Info:

1) Inside Les Chefs de France.
2) Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm
3) Visiting
. . . he comes out right on schedule
. . . the cart makes one trip around the eatery
. . . you must wait until he comes to your table *
. . . you cannot get up and go over to him, handlers make sure of this
. . . if you miss him, he does not make a second trip
. . . you must wait for the next scheduled time
. . . if your ADR is close to a scheduled time, be early
. . . you might be in line waiting for a table when he appears
. . . if so, you wait for the next scheduled trip

* If people gathered around the cart, it would clog the aisles. Also,
guests might be pressing their shorts and clothes against other guest's
tabletop and food (eewe, yuck, gross). Also, he is a temperamental little
critter, and occasionally does not appear at all, and with NO PRIOR NOTICE,
so use caution when promising him to little ones to avoid disappointment

Our Ratings of Chefs de France:
. . . food price value: C
. . . food quality: B-
. . . food quantity per serving: B
. . . food prep speed: C
. . . food selection: C+
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: B
. . . eatery atmosphere: C-
. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: C
. . . staff helpfulness: B
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: Chefs is a pleasant French eatery, although most
dishes have been Americanized. The service is a little slow
and the servers sometimes inattentive, just like in France. As
a middle-priced eatery, it is well placed. The food is above
average, except leave the snails in the garden, as the snails
they use have been downgraded. The atmosphere is good,
but, the tables are uncomfortably close to one another.

We booked Chefs last minute while on our vacation in January. We enjoyed it well enough. All of us that ordered off the adult lunch menu had the salmon with spinach (I see on AllEars that the spinach has been changed to something else.) It was good, but not anything better than I could cook in my own home. The best things on the table were the wine and the French bread. Remy and his handler are very entertaining and spent quite a bit of time interacting with my DS 5. If we were to go back, it would be to see Remy and try the short ribs that everyone raves about.

I agree with the PP that the tables are uncomfortably close together. As a matter of fact, I tried very hard not to put my bottom in the faces of the diners at the next table when we left! :scared1: No one wants to see that when they're eating!

We at lunch at Chef's de France last year and we really liked the food and we loved Remy. This year we are trying dinner and hopefully the food is as good as the lunch. And the desserts are wonderful!

Love the food at Les Chefs..Remy is hit and miss..Out of the 4 attempts to see him I manage to only 2x, and that was because once I was seated really late past my adr time and the 2nd time he was having "techinical issues" and didn;t appear at all.I would avoid promising Remy to anyone, that way you will avoid disappointment
