Les Chefs de France or Bistro de Paris?

are you using a dining plan this time? Because if you are, Bistro does not take the dining plan...just so you know.

We haven't eaten at Bistro, so can't give you a which-is-better opinion. We have eaten at Chefs and liked it.

Thanks for that bit of advice. I had no idea the Bistro didn't take the Dining plan. We were hoping for FD, so we were planning on using the plan.

Do you know what other resturants don't take the DP?

Victoria & Alberts and any that are not on Disney property or Disney owned hotels (such as anything in the Swan/Dolphin).

Bistro is a definite winner in this battle - HOWEVER, it is kind of like comparing bologna to foie gras.

Bistro is the full-service, white-linen, chef-designed culinary experience. It is quite expensive compared to other options, and is not covered by the dining plan.

Chefs is the brasserie-style, casual, a la carte, simple French dining experience. It is moderately priced and is covered by the dining plan.

Bistro does not do rotisserie chicken and croque monsieurs; Chefs does not do gastriques and whole lobsters.

PP has already answered your other question (who isn't covered?) but here it is in more detail:
~Swan/Dolphin restaurants
~Anything at DTD except Captain Jack's or Wolfgang Puck's Cafe (the Dining Room is not covered) or Raglan Road or Planet Hollywood - these four TS are covered
~Victoria & Albert's
~Bistro de Paris

Bistro's by far - pretty good fine dining, I wouldn't take my kids. Great place to go with the signifigant other in your life. Dinner only.

Chef's is good, more "park" kid friendly type place.
I have often found the side dishes, salds and such better at Chef's than the main courses.

If I want an excellent, relaxed, meal I go to Bistro.

If I want to be aound screaming kids and rushed I go to Chefs.
