Lenses

After testing both at a camera store I ended up going with the FA50mm F1.4 lens. Though I think I will be saving my pennies for the 50/200.

Here are a couple of sample pictures from my wife's anniversary flowers.

I'm still learning and working on the lighting and f settings and the such. I have a week left of work then 9 weeks off to play around with the camera :yay:

Comments welcome!:hyper:

I have a Rebel XT with three lens. 28-90mm, 85mm (f1.8) and a 70-200mm f2.8. We will be going to WDW, SeaWorld and Kennedy Space Center. I'm torn on bringing the 70-200mm. It's heavy, but also worry about leaving it in the hotel if I don't bring it with me.

Any input? :confused3

The Lowepro Fastpack 250 or 350 is your friend :) I lugged around the 300 AW for a week w/o any problems with my entire kit you see in my sig. It wasn't too bad. The 70-200 will come in handy at the shows and the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom. It's also very funny to see the expressions on people's faces when you whip out the 70-200 w/ hood. It's almost like the parting of the Red Sea ;)

You might want to also consider the pretty new Pentax 55-300mm lens, too. It's a little more (closer to $350 than $200) but it's been getting some very nice mentions as a high quality consumer-level long zoom, and that extra 100mm might come in handy, especially since you only lose 5mm at the wide end.

Thanks, I will have to look into that one and save more if I go with it. :thumbsup2
