length of time to handle "renting" transaction

Since I am new to this renting business, If we are needing to rent points for May26-June 1 when do I need to start finding points. Do I have to choose from the seller's home resort or can I choose anyone and just pay the appropriate amount of perpoint dollar amount?

IMHO I would start now and get the reservation made at the resort that you want. Some resorts do book up early. You will need to have an idea how many points you want. At this point in time, many DVC renters will be able to rent to you their point regardless of their home resort.

The sooner that you book the better. Many people book at he 11 month window and many many more book at the 7 month window. It is getting more difficult to get villas as people book earlier and earlier.

We have points and will work with any interested families..

We are looking at the possiblility of check in to either BWV or WLV on the last thursday in may with check out on the following tuesday. with those dates it looks like 280 points for WLV or BWV at the preferred rate. Is this something would work for anyone wanting to rent out their points?
