Length of ticket does not factor in MNSSHP days. Ridiculous.

We will be at the World October 5th-12th. Of those days we will be spending 6 days total at Disney parks.

5th - MK
8th - MNSSHP
9th - DHS
10th - Epcot
11th - MNSSHP
12th - AK

The problem is that we have to use all our days by the 11th. Under normal circumstances this is plenty of time but the MNSSHP is not factored into this at ALL. We're still at a Disney park, still buying special event tickets. This should extend out regular ticket but it doesn't unless we pay a $40+ upcharge per ticket. Utterly ridiculous when the very reason we can't use our days by the 11th is because we are actually buying TWO more days worth of tickets for a special event which means MORE revenue for Disney but they still want to upcharge me lol. I'm beside myself.

It appears to be cheaper for us to buy a single day ticket on the 5th and then buy multi day tickets for the park days at the end of the week but honestly, we're so put off by this we're just going to cut a day from our schedule and do something else.

Are you doing rest days on the 6th and 7th? Can you switch your animal kingdom day to the 7th and do a rest day on the 12th instead? Or AK on the 10th and Epcot on the 7th if you're worried about FOP availability...

I agree the expiry on these new tickets is absolutely ridiculous.

I agree the "flexible" option is expensive. But it looks to only add $22.91 per ticket to get a 5-day vs a 4-day, and the 5-day would give you through Oct. 12th; plus it would give you the option to go to a park on one of the party days. A 1-day ticket for the 5th would cost $122, definitely not cheaper than extending your multi-day.

Another option ... are you staying on-site with a package? If you purchase your tickets as part of an on-site package, the ticket length is equal to the resort stay. So if you buy a package (with 1 continuous resort stay), you'll be good with the 4-day ticket for all days Oct. 5 - 12.

Enjoy your vacation!
