I read where Disney is trying out a new "length of stay" stroller rental program for the next four weeks. I don't know any details except that if you do this you get a certificate to use Pal Mickey for one day as well.

If someone is going to the park soon and decide to do this, would you please report back about prices, experience doing this, etc.

Depending on how long you are staying I often think it is better to get one of those fold up strollers at a Wal Mart and then just leave it there on the last day if you cannot carry it home. If you think about it, even if you are paying 10 a day and stay for 10 days you could get a decent flold up for around 50 and then you would be 50 ahead.

The trouble is when a child is older, 4 - 6, the Disney stroller is a lot sturdier and built to an older child. I tried going to Walmart with my DS 4, to get a cheap umbrella stroller, and he's a slim kid, and he looked all scrunched up in it. LOL Janis

We do a lot of park hopping and hate to have to fold up the stroller all those times on the buses, monorail, and boats. Our kids can do some walking, but we like to have the stroller at the park. Having length of stay (if there is a discount) would be great.

I'm bumping this to see if anyone has any info now on the length of stay stroller program. I'd love some details!!:D

We were offered this option on our third day (didn't notice the signs before and nobody mentioned it) - it's available for wheelchair rentals also - but since we had already purchased a Pal Mickey, I didn't think it was worth it, since it's a "use it or lose it" type deal like Ultimate Park Hoppers.

I would have done it if they offered a small discount on the rental or even a discount on purchasing a Pal Mickey, but for the minor convenience of not having to wait in a very short line for a new rental each day, it just didn't seem worthwhile! Just my opinion!:D

So do they give you a stroller card (don't know what else to call it) that you use to get a stroller each day w/o waiting in line?

Do you know how they handle the $1 refundable fee?

We've never rented strollers at the park, so I'm probably not asking this right.

You're asking the right questions...:D ...but I don't know the answer about the $1 refund. They did tell us that you just show your ticket (or receipt, or whatever they give you) to the person that brings out the strollers/wheelchairs, thus eliminating the need to stand in line to pay. Maybe someone else knows about the $1 thing. Good luck! :D

I would also be interested in learning more about this since we will be there in Nov. with a 5yo.

BUMPING THIS.

Anyone have any info? We will be going in Sept need 2 strollers. So would like to hear more about this. Good deal? or not discount? thanks

BUMP!

saw this recently on another thread

apparenlty there is NO discount, but there is a five day 'ticket' you HAVE to keep and you just show them thie ticket instead of waiting in line

also comes with a coupon for a PAL MICKEY for one day use

REALLY wish Disney would get a clue and have mercy on us double stroller users--$120 for eight day use equals OUCH

I just recently found out that if you use Happy Limo they rent a stroller for $10 for the week! It might be worth it to use them and then rent a stroller off of them!
