Will we be able to get everything done at Legoland in one day with a 7yr and 2yr old?
Same question for Seaworld?

We will be there Mar 3rd Seaworld and Mar 4 Legoland?

Sorry I know this is a Disneyland forum but don't know where else to ask.

Hi there --

Yup - you can do Legoland in one day, and Sea World, too. I haven't done Legoland myself, but my exSIL has. I have done Sea World, and a day will give you time to do everything -- I recommend getting there when they open, though. When we were there, they gave us a schedule where we could go from one show to another - it was supposed to help us maximize our day.

We were at Legoland about 3 years ago and spent 6 days there.. yep you heard it right 6 days.. my boys loved it.. they loved building legos.. going on the rides.. meet the master builders, building legos, going on the rides..etc..

it really depends on your kids and how much time you have..

pack an extra set of clothes for both parks. i don't know how warm or cold it would be in march (this is southern california, one minute it's sunny the next it's raining 2 weeks in a row!). anyway, the reason why i say to bring extra set of clothes is because both parks have a playground where water shoots from side to side or upward from the ground. it's fun on hot days! kids like the water play.

My dd loved Sea World. If you arrive as soon as it opens and leave when it closes you'll be able to see the shows and that's about it. Well, let me tell you we usually go in the fall or winter so maybe the hours are shorter. If your kids want to pet the dolphins, stingrays, see the penguins, play in that wonderful playground..you might not have enough time. The second time we went to Sea World we stayed 2 whole days from opening to closing....that was enough for DD. She really loves that playground. Bring extra clothes because there's a place to shoot water and we ended up buying her clothes there. Oh, there's also a water place at Legoland too that they may get wet. Legoland was 1 day openening to closing at it was o.k. with dd....but she wasn't that much into lego's.
If you're going to DL and Legoland I would suggest you go to Legoland first. Their system of loading and unloading people and crowd control isn't as efficient as Disney. Once you're used to Disney's system and you go someplace else it's a bit frustrating to see workers moving at a much slower pace.

Thanks for the info:) Will try to catch Sea world for a few hours the day we arrive. We get into LAX at 10am have to pick-up the rental van and then head south to San Diego. What time do you think we would arrive at Sea world?

My guess is that you won't get there before 1pm and probably closer to 2pm. It takes a good 2+ hours to drive to SD from LA. The DL area is about 90 minutes from SD. The good thing is the traffic won't be too bad.

I think you need more than a few hours to do Seaworld - one full day is about right as others here suggest.

We got there just after it opened at 10 (winter) and left just before 5. We didn't rush around, and did just about everything.

There were two dolphin shows - one about 11 the other about 3, and two Shamu shows, one about 12, another was quite late - 4PM or something (Those times are very rough guesses - but you get the drift!)

In addition, there were frequent times for feeding dolphins and rays (you buy a small packet of food and they let you pat and feed the rays and dolphins while photos are taken).

There is a great rope climbing play area which is great for kids letting off steam, and a waterplay area. Their raft ride will also soak you so take a poncho or change of clothes if planning to use the wet play area.

DON'T try to do this place in 2-3 hours - you will see a show and not much else - give it the full day.
