Just a quick report having been there last Thursday. It's off-season and let's simply say that means getting done a ride and them asking if you want to go again.

This park is really for the 10-under crowd. My 8-year old enjoyed it but wanted to know when we could go back and ride California Screaming. X-Project coaster is very cool (again, 10-under). Dragon is a bit lame, Coastersaurus is much better. Just a neat place to walk around and look at the lego structure. I thought Mini-land with all the replicas was very cool and surprised how long my kids lingered. Can't really give many tips to avoid the crowds as there were not any. Good break from Disney with a different theme if you need one. Drive is about an hour and very easy and scenic.

thanks for the report! We will be there next Monday and I hope that it is as dead as you experienced. Did you do the Mindstorms activity? Anything else you would recommend? How was the adventureland (I think that is what it is)?

My 13 year old did Mindstorms (mars) a couple of weeks ago. It was fun - but a bit too easy for him. I was hoping for more of the real 'how-to-program' - they have pre-programmed movements you string together and download to the robot to perform. Get there early to sign up if you want to try it.
