legoland - one day enough?

I'm thinking about sending my oldest ds (6) and dh on a father-son trip to legoland this summer. It'll have to be a wekend trip so dh doesn't have to use vacation days. Would one day be enough for them to see most of the park? I think ds would LOVE the new Star Wars stuff that is opening soon.

We just did one day at legoland. Our DD is 7 and loved it. We saw almost everything but almost all the rides were walk on and most of them we rode twice. We did not do the aquarium and the water play areas were all closed. I think with summer crowds 2 days would be better.

we have annual passes u can do almost everything on a sat or sun in the summer. we always go on sat or sunday. If u want to do the water park which is geared for his age group and the aquarium i would do two days. theres a motel 6 in carlsbad down town two exist south of the park is between 50-60 a night we usually stay there decent and theres dennys in the same parking lot for breakfast or dinner.

Thank you! Hoping for a decent airfare sale in the future so we can make this a reality. Or I may priceline it. We'll see as Summer gets closer. I think it'd be a great trip for dh and ds.

Ithink 2 days is better it is crowded in summer the water park is nice my kids dissapointed as there in Aug it was so cold coldest summer in years.

Our kids were 5 and 7 last summer when we went and one day was plenty. We were planning on two days, but the kids had had enough after one!

Our DS was 6 when we went the summer of 2009. We spent 4 nights at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa and 2 days in Legoland. It was plenty of time to see and do everything more than once (but this was before the Waterpark). The longest we waited in line was 45 minutes for the Sky Cruiser. Almost every other ride was walk on. My 6 year old loved it.
