We've never been to LegoLand and might try to get into Orlando late on Saturday night and go Sunday morning. I have no idea what to expect - should we plan on spending all day Sunday there? Or is it typically a half-day park and I can schedule a Disney ADR Sunday night?

Not sure of where you are coming from on Saturday night ....But

you just Might like not such an early start on Sunday.

Legoland is about 45 min drive South on Hwy 27 ( and then a Right Turn Off ) from Disney Area.

Take time to enjoy your first trip to Legoland & make the most of it and

use your Full day there .

Start your Disney trip on Monday

Do Not Rush your Days Out.... Relax & Enjoy

I suggest checking the hours legoland is open. For example, we were just there and the park was open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We got there at open and left at 4:45 and got to Kissimmee where we ate dinner around 6 p.m.

Agree with the above. It was open 10-5pm. We were there from open to close, drove back to Orlando and ate dinner at Downtown Disney.

We are headed to Legoland in our early May trip. It's open 10-5 and we will be there almost all that time! We haven't been to the Legoland in Orlando but took our 3 1/2 to the one in CA during our last Disneyland trip. She still talks about LL lol DL not so much! The rides were pretty tame. She loved the mini roller coasters and the boat fairy tale/safari ride. Now that she is 5 I think it's going to be a completely different trip. She loves building the princess Lego sets and will sit quite a long time and build pretty complex designs. I feel we may be doing more creating and less riding lol Also I read somewhere that there is an area where cast members will trade the mini figures w your child. Like pins at disney. I was going to pick her up a couple at our local Lego store for the trip.

This trip will be the first visit to Legoland FL, but we spent two full days at the CA park in 2012. Our son was 5 at the time and we had such a great time. Looking at the park map, it seems like the attractions are pretty much the same.

Build and Test was a huge hit (albeit pretty overstimulating with all the noise. We have a Legoland Discovery Center here in KC, and he could spend all day in that area given the chance.)

What he's most looking forward to is the driving school. He missed the age cutoff for CA's big kid version by about a month and was kind of bummed that he was stuck with the toddler oval instead of the big kid's actual roads to drive on.

Thanks, everyone! I checked a few days ago and it will be open at 10:00, but I didn't even think to check when it closed.

Is there any transportation to Lego land, if you do not rent a car? If we rented a car for the day, how do you get there from CBR?

They have a shuttle from one of the outlet malls. You can read about it here.

From CBR, it's a super-easy drive of about 45 minutes or so. You go west on I-4, then take the Highway 27 exit. There are plenty of signs.

I think it requires a full day not including spending any time in their waterpark.I went the first month it opened before the waterpark was finished and I spent the entire day there, open until a 5pm closing.I know it does have later closing times when it's busy but since it will be busier you'll probably need those extra 2-3 hours if it's open until 7-8pm.
