Legoland--fun for 20-somethings without kids?

My best friends and I are planning a trip to San Diego in September. We are all 25 and are planning on going to the beach, the zoo, and a day trip to Disneyland. (My idea--they know I'm a Disney freak and are agreeing to go with me! I told that that there was no way I could be within 2 hours of a Disney park and not go!)

Here is my question--one of my friends saw the Jon and Kate Plus 8 family go to Legoland and she thinks it looks really fun. While I am nuts for Disney and don't consider myself too "grown up" for anything...I have to admit that based on the website, Legoland really does look to be like more fun for kids than adults.

For those of you that have visited--could three 25-year-old girls have a fun day there?

An entire day...no.

There are a few roller coasters that you might like and a few other "older kid" rides but as a whole, there isn't much for three 25 year olds to do with no kids. For the cost of Legoland, I think it would be too much and able to do so little.

I agree with scooter. We were just there last Saturday for the first time and while we had fun there seems to be a very narrow window as far as what age would enjoy it the most. It is really geared toward elementary school aged kids. We did have kids with us but they were 3 and 1 and there were a lot of rides they couldn't go on. And like PP said, there are a few bigger rides that you would probably enjoy but it wouldn't be worth the admission to the park and even those rides seem small compared to what you would find at DLR.

Maybe you could convince your friends to do 2 days at DLR. There is a ton to see and do there.

I'm with the others, I don't think so. Unless of course you really like Legos, lol? It's a great park & we enjoy it with our kids. But, I don't think it's something even teenagers would like for long.

I agree with the others. If you could find a SCREAMING deal on passes.....and get in for only like $20, it might be worth it. The Knights Joust ride (or whatever it is called) is very cool.....look for YouTube videos of the ride on Level 5. The Lego-built cities are fun to look at too. As much as I love going to Legoland now, I think I would have been bummed if I had spent $60ish to go there for the day when I was 25. Have a wonderful trip.......whatever you decide!

Ah! Can I come with you guys? I go to San Diego once a year and every single time I ask my friends to go to Legoland with me and none of them want to! I was thinking of even babysitting a random kid one day just so I have an excuse to go! :rotfl:

If you do go you must come back and tell us all about it, since I won't be going until I find a kid to go with.
