Legoland Christmas week - fastrack?

Thinking of going to Legoland for 1 day between Christmas and New Years. Are fastback passes recommend? We have never been to Legoland and my daughter will be 8 so this is probably a one and done for us. The fastback passes cost just as much as the tickets so it doubles the price.
