My family (no children) is heading down to San Diego next month and was wondering about the Brick-or-Treat event at Legoland. We've never been to Legoland because the entrance price seemed high given what I've heard about the park (primarily geared for young children). There is a $30 ticket for the Saturday evening Brick-or-Treat event (5 pm to 9 pm), which seemed more reasonable. I was wondering if the Brick-or-Treat event has anything for adults? I read the description on the website, and it seems like the west side of the park and the rides aren't open, but can you walk around and see many of the displays? Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

We went to the one Saturday night. You are correct, the Dinoland, Funtown and Pirate areas were all closed due to the fireworks. It was very crowded, since it has both people who bought party tickets and people with 1 day passes (the party isn't only for people with party tickets like MHP is). It was pretty frustrating and the trick or treat lines were long and some ran out of candy (or chips, or fruit drinks, or whatever they happened to be handing out) while we were waiting. You can still see the Miniland displays, though you obviously won't have as good a view at night. Also, the stage at Miniland is where some of the shows are so the area around the Washington DC display is packed. The shows were pretty good for kids, I thought they were the best part of the party. Some of the ride lines were pretty long but seemed to lessen once the shows began (however the Ghost Cruise (Coast Cruise during October) always had at least an hour wait). My perspective is a little skewed since we did MHP the night before but I thought there was a huge difference in the organization and how the two parties were run. I know it isn't a fair comparison but still there could have been a lot done to improve the Brick or Treat party.

If you're going to Legoland just for Brick or Treat, keep in mind that Legoland was designed as a day park, and is rarely open at night (just for Halloween events, Holiday events, and New Years). Because of this, it's not well lit in many places and harder to appreciate the park at night.
