When does the Lego Advent calerdar come out? I was thinking it was around this time of year but have not seen it online.

Does the DTD store typically carry the advent calendars? I would love to just pick one up there.

Is it like the chocolate candy calendars, where there's a treat for each day? If so, do you get parts to build one big thing, or a small item each day? And, is it religious? I mean, I've seen secular "advent" calendars...which aren't really advent calendars at all.

If it is religious, let me know where you find one when you finally do!

It is not religious. You could add a verse to each day if you choose.

Each day you build a small piece that fits into a theme.

The Lego store at DTD does sell the Advent calendars. Not sure when they come out though -they seem to sell out very, very quickly!
I'm down there a lot, I'll try to look for them next time I am there.

Is this one 2007?

It has almost 40 more pieces (not sure if that's a good thing with Lego & a 7 yr old:laughing: )
It's also $5 cheaper than the one on the Lego site....

Can anyone shed some light:confused3

It is not the 2008 one. This is the one that they always have. I guess it is for the people who want one but do not collect them every year.

That being said...It is a GREAT price!

Also, I got one for my 7 y/o last year and he loved it. He made each piece, each day and then put it away. He only played with them right in front of the calendar. I told him if he kept them together he could get them out every year. It would be like a new toy every year. He liked that idea.

They will probably be gone when we get there. :sad2: I was hoping I could pick one up as soon as we got there, so the kids could put them together while we are there (2 weeks).

Oh well, I guess I will have to order it and take it with me. I hope they come out soon. I am so ready for Christmas and Disney.
