LEGO Store in DTD

So I went to the DL DTD Lego Store today. They gave me a 10% discount on a couple of full price sets and allowed me to stack it with my LEGO VIP rewards card. They even asked for the VIP card. They said any level of DL AP gets the 10% discount.

I saw the Lego Woody. He's cool, but I like Vader better.

Would you suggest going if you don't have children with you? I have promsied a certain lego crazy 6 year old that I would bring them some lego back from America (I'm coming over from New Zealand). Do you think it would be worth a visit to buy some lego for him or would it be cheaper just to go to Target or somewhere like that?

Lego does a pretty good job of holding prices at MSRP. In fact some retailers (like TRU) actually jack prices up 10-20% over MSRP for stuff like Star Wars. However sometimes Target or TRU have some really good sales.

You can check out the Sunday Ads for the various department stores online to see if they have a sale when you are here. I'd check TRU, Target, Walmart for sure. Also you should check the prices on LEGO.COM they sometimes have really good sales especially on holidays. And if its on sale on LEGO.com you can usually (not always) get the same price at the Lego store.
