Legitimate work from home sites

Hello all. I am looking to earn extra money working from home. Everywhere so far that I have checked on the internet asks for $$ up front and they will provide you with lists of companies that provide work at home positions. Do any of you know of any legitimate site for work at home jobs. I'd like to do some typing or internet research or customer service, whatever might be available. Not looking to get rich just get extra money for Disney. I don't drive so that the things mentioned on the boards about setting up displays etc. would not work for me. I am based in New York City, Astoria to be precise. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Check out Liveops.com. I've been working LO since March. You take orders. You do have to pay a $30 background check. They don't require you to work a certain numbers of hours.

I did hear that they will be hiring again starting in July. If your interested, fill out the application and do the voice test. Then when they start hiring you will already be in the system.

Have any of you ever heard of a work from home company called freedom at home? A friend of mine just forwarded me the website, but there is so much to read, I can't really seem to make heads or tails. Just wondered if anyone knew anything about them.

Freedom at home is probably an MLM.

It seems like most of the legit work at home jobs are phone, technical or writing. http://wahjobs.blogspot.com has some good leads.
