Hi OB. Sanding drywall? wow, sounds like fun....not!!
I'm so honored that you thought to ask lil' ol' me
But, I have to say I do not know much about camcorders. I have just started considering one to purchase myself. I can tell you which one I am leaning more towards myself though. If I do get one I probably will get a Hard Drive camcorder. I wouldn't get an High Def camcorder just yet seeing as how they just came out with them. They need time to perfect that technology IMHO. Plus they're uber expensive. With the Hard Drive camcorder you can upload what you film onto your computer and edit the heck out of it which is awesome. And then you can transfer it onto a DVD from there (assuming you have a DVD burner...and if you don't those aren't very expensive anymore). I wouldn't get a DVD camcorder because you can't erase what you've already recorded if there's something you wanted to edit out. Then you might end up wasting precious expensive DVD's that has footage on it that you could have done without. Also, with the Hard Drive camcorder it records directly to an internal memory. Which leaves nothing more to buy for the camcorder. If you get one that takes tapes or DVD's then you have to buy the tapes or DVD's and those little buggers are pricey.
Have I throughly confused you or have I helped?
To make my long winded explination short:
Hard Drive camcorder = Good and you will save money in the long run w/not having to buy DVD's or tapes to record on.
