We did this last year and was disappointed. My DS (who was 9) and my DD (who was 16) as well as my husband and I didn't think it was worth the time. Plus we had to wait in line. Once you got in there, it was kind of boring. Definitely not worth the 20-30 minutes we waited in.

This was the biggest disappointment of any Disney attraction for our family. In fact, we were so disappointed we took the time afterward to give a CM detailed feedback about it for their survey.

Our family actually really enjoyed it. But DD was chosen to do something with the show, which was so special because she NEVER gets picked for things like that and DS seems to get picked quite a bit. She had a glow the rest of the day. But even beside that, I thought the effects were pretty cool and worth the time. There wasn't a long wait when we did it - maybe 10 min and it was raining, so it was nice to have covered waiting.

I have read that there is no longer a line to wait in - they give you a return time. (Kind of like the old paper FP)

Yes, this is how they did it a few weeks ago when we were there.
I rate this attraction about the same as Stitchs great escape at MK and Captain EO at EP.

I went last August when you had to wait in line. It was hot and I can't believe I wasted all that time for that.

This was on my list as I've never done it before. After reading some of the responses though, it'll probably stay as a never-done unless they continue to use the ticket system and don't expect you to stand around in line.
