Legacy Tiles Epcot - my disappointing experience

Okay, we had these Legacy Tiles done a few weeks ago and I was very disappointed with the whole experience.
Firstly, we tried to get my two little ones to have one done. The 2 year old was very fussy. I was disappointed with the fact the photo taking area was outside. My son was very hot as it is (it was almost 98') and it would have helped if it was in an AC area. Also, the CM's seemed to very very unfriendly especially this one older gray haired woman with glasses who really could have smiled once in a while. Also, they really could have had more toys to distract the children instead of one old looking pluto.
It was very disappointing. I had better experiences having their photos done at Wal Mart. Just thought I would share my experience.

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience. However, Disney in the summer is just that: Disney in the summer. However, about that woman--I can assure you, with that attitude, either she'll quit or they'll do some housekeeping on their own. Disney tries hard to get people with the right 'tude, but can't always. Not everyone is cut out for working for the Mouse. No, don't work for Disney. Don't want to. Sort of like working in the a pet shop. I don't want to see what's in the backroom!

I should also say that they had no idea how to entertain a child. They had these blank expressions on their faces and would not warm up to the children. My son was petrified of that older lady since she would not smile. I was the one jumping up and down (with the faded, old pluto dog) and trying to make them smile.

DH & I had a similar experience with the CM's working the LaL area. Very unfriendly.
They took our picture, let us look, then the CM said "Ok, all done." and walked away. We had to stand there, wait for her to come back to ask about when our pic would be up, etc. and she looked very irritated that we were asking questions.

Some of the other guests there also looked irritated. I'm not one to complain about CM's, I know everyone has bad days and I don't expect 100 watt smiles all the time, but these folks were downright irritable and unfriendly.

We still haven't recieved our LaL thing in the mail, either.

I know exactly who you are talking about because she left a similar impression on us. She was very curt and snotty when we first walked up and then rolled her eyes at us when I said I wanted to make a tile for my mom who passed away. I am not one for big scenes so I mentioned it to another CM who was helping me when she walked away. Apparently she is in charge over there, which is truly a shame with such a poor attitude(and now to find out she was like that with you seems sad since we just didn't catch her on an "off" day). Then she was making faces and sighing heavily at everything my daughter was doing-you know, like playing, running around, acting like a child-she was no where near the equiptment or area so I didn't understand why she was so annoyed by it. It was disappointing.

In my experience though, the other CMs were SUPER nice and one young one played with my daughter the entire time I got everything together (which was a lifesaver because we were on our way into the park and she was amped up to go on rides).

Again, my 2 year old was petrified of this lady. That is the effect she had on him and I should mention that Jafar or the Evil Witch from Snow White did not freak him out at all!
My 2 year old was running around wanting to leave the place and she kept looking at him disgusted like. I think she was in charge there which is the sad thing. She was a caucasian woman, gray short hair. Very rude. I really hope someone can speak to her about manners and smiling.
We are not people to complain but we generally had great CM's in most places. The ones which are bad - really stand out! Incredible that I am not the only one with this experience!

disappointing. I would definitely write to Disney about your experience. I have decided that I love going to WDW so much that I will make it a point to write Disney after each visit with good and bad comments.

It's a shame that lady is still there, scaring little kids! We were going to do LAL last trip, but as you said, it was hot! and Dh was not having it!! LOL!
