I checked out last Wednesday and realized that I left my Chef Mickey's photo package in my resort room at Treehouse. I had put it in my Welcome Home package, but neglected to put the whole package into my luggage. Do you think it went into the trash. Should I bother even calling SSR front desk to see if it was turned in? :(

My DH left his favorite Disney sweatshirt (circa 1996) in our BLT room as we checked out. He ran back to the room and found mousekeeping already in there cleaning. She told him that anything they found was turned in and the most recent occupants were contacted. That being said, I can see how a welcome home packet might be considered trash. I would call the resort and check anyway. Good luck retrieving your pictures.

It's definitely at least worth the call. Sure that kind of item may have been trashed, but it may not have been. You never know until you call. In 2008 my DS13 left a DVD in the player at BWV - a library one no less, that would have cost us $30 to replace - and the staff was able to retrieve it. Funny thing - it was still in the DVD player, and we'd been checked out of that room for more than a week since we'd continued our trip over at AKV for 7 more nights. Didn't even realize it was missing til we got home. THAT certainly taught us all a lesson - don't bring anything with us that doesn't belong to us. I didn't even know he'd brought it along til we were in the resort and he'd asked to watch something... :confused3.

You never know - they might have turned it in to the front desk...

Lost and found at SSR is combined with OKW and is located at OKW. Just call the central operator for Disney and ask for lost and found at OKW. They take a report or you can leave a message and they will call you back.

Last July I thought I left one of my favorite shirts. I left a message detailing my description of the shirt and our room number. They called back the next day (this was a few days after we left) and said that the shirt had not been turned in, but they would keep a lookout for it. A week later, I found it, turned inside out, in my closet, where my husband had placed it after unpacking.

I would call & ask if they have it. Good luck.

Back in the 80's, a family friend left her wedding ring & diamond on the night stand at the CR. She didn't realize it until she was going to bed at home that night. Her husband called the CR & they said that mousekeeping had turned it in!

I left two pairs of shoes in our room at OKW over Christmas. I didn't realize it until we were back in Missouri. I called OKW which connected me with the SSR/OKW lost n' found. They had them. They mailed the shoes back to me. :goodvibes

To the OP -- if your item is never found --

do you still have the receipt? Last time we did Chef Mickey's and bought the photo package (Jan 08 I think) -- the Photopass #s for the photos were on the receipt. I've heard others say the PP # was on the photo itself, on the back, but at one time it was on the receipt.

So IF you have it and IF it has the number and IF you were interested in the photos, you could go to the Photopass site and order another print of one of them (albeit for $13 or whatever they're charging these days).

If you had left it out into the open I would say there's a good possibility of it being turned into L & F, however tucked away into a welcome package there's a good chance it went into the trash. Doesn't hurt to make the call!
