Left over ticket question...

So, now thanks to the "internet super highway", I now know that with PH you can use the leftover days at any time in the future.

Just this morning (in the shower at about 5:00am ~ these things hit me at weird times), I realized that DH and I had at least one, but maybe more days possibly left from our wedding/honeymoon. We had a package back in 10/94 and being the "saver" (DH would say packrat) I am, I probably still have them. Is there anyway to tell if there were days left on our room key?

TIA

Then probably you were given the UPH pass which is included on you KTTW Card. If this is the case, the the UPH pass expired at midnight the day that you checked out.

But the KTTW makes for a nice souvie or for scrapbooking.

Don't forget to photocopy the backs of your Parkhopper, that way if you misplace them, you can replace them if you have proof you had them.

So, after checking the abbv listing, I figured out what KTTW was. Now, I'm confused about the package deal vs. room only and tickets. If I go with a package this time, will my days expire? Right now, I have room only and we were planning to get a few extra days on our tickets and come back again in a year or so, for a few more days. I don't want a package if they are going to expire.

This is just all too much to think about.......

Thanks!

Ultimate park hoppers are good from the moment you check in until midnight the day you check out.

Park hoppers and park hopper pluses are good for so many days. These get "used up" but never expire.

If you have a ph or php you might still have days. If you have a uph it doesn't have any value other than scrapbook fodder.

Don't get a package with uph's unless you plan on going to DW parks the entire time you're there.

Don't feel bad... there's just so many choices and so much information to try to digest. That's the beauty of these boards.

When you buy a Dream Maker Package, you get room and Ultimate Park Hopper passes, which basically replaced the Length of Stay passes. They start when you check in and give you access to all the parks, water parks, Disney Quest, Pleasure Island (not extras like Cirque du Soleil though). They expire when you check out.

If you buy room and tickets separately, like a Park Hopper Pass or a Park Hopper Plus pass, those are for 4-5-6-7 etc. days, depending on the pass, and those are the tickets that will never expire.

We have some type of tickets left from 1990 in our lockbox ... I called the other day to see how to find out what they were worth. I was told I would have to take them to a ticket window at WDW and let a Cast Member look at them to determine how many days were left. We keep buying the packages, though, so we never have used the old tickets! Hope this helps. If not, feel free to PM me.

Most packages will give you Ultimate Park Hopper (UPH) passes. These will only be good during the length of your stay. Check with whoever you are booking the package with as to what the one you are getting includes but you will find that most times, it's the UPH.

If you have a room only reservation, you can purchase any kind of ticket you want. You don't have to purchase a package from Disney to get tickets. You can order PH's or PHP's (cheaper when purchased prior to arrival at WDW) from Disney by phone or online, get them at a local Disney Store, or purchase them from one of many reputable Florida ticket wholesalers you'll see mentioned on these boards.

If you don't really need a package, avoid it at all costs.

Yes, it can be overwhelming to someone who doesn't know the ins and outs of Disney.

By the way, take your old resort ID's with you when you go and have them scanned at either your resort or at Guest Relations. You never know. You may find out you didn't have UPH's in that honeymoon after all. The worst you'll hear is that there is nothing left on them and you could get a nice surprise.

Its very possible that you could have an unused day or two left on those. On our last trip a few weeks ago, we brought along our old resort IDs from 1994 and sure enough they had a day left on them, so you never know. Just take it to any ticket window (we had ours checked at PI and then again at the TTC to make sure - the way the CM said "I think there is a day left" kind of made me nervous). Hopefully you'll get a nice surprise!
