Left over QS... What can i do???

I might have as many as 4 QS credits left over. Can I convert them to anything? I think I am underestimating the ant of food thus the leftovers but I don't see us eating a big blast and wanting lunch and dinner. Then again I need to remember we will be walking a ton and might need more then a snack to hold us over. Anyway want to be prepared. Anything I can do for left over QS.

Officially, no. In the past you were able to convert 1 CS to 3 snacks, but Disney seems to have put a stop to that. You might find a CM at a resort food court willing to do it, but I wouldn't count on it.

You can purchase a "continental breakfast" at some resorts, usually consisting of a pastry, a piece of fruit and a beverage. These are items that might travel or store reasonably well. There are some venues in the parks (usually look for the word "bakery" in the name) that will do something similar to this.

Can you officially "convert" them to anything? No.

We shared a handful of QS last time we did DDP and still had 2 leftover at the end. On our check out day, we had big breakfasts at our resort (pancakes, bacon, eggs, biscuit, maybe hash browns?) and some OJ on the side. It was a hearty meal and I felt like we didn't completely lose our last 2 credits!

We save some of our CS for our meals home. We fly and it typically takes us about 7-8 hours from the time we leave MCO 'til we reach Calif. So we use our last CS for sandwiches, salads, etc. to take on the plane. You can do the same if you are driving.

I'll order our sandwiches and salads dry with condiments/dressing on the side. That works well for us.

If you don't want the entree (for some reason) you can still get a bottled beverage and dessert (except at breakfast) which is like getting 2 SC. Best places to do this is food courts, IMHO.

Definately would recommend getting sandwiches for the route home. That's how I try to use stuff up - things I can pack easily and save me money somewhere along the way!

When we were there last year we were able to convert our leftover QS credits 1 for 1 for snacks but the only place that would do it was the Contemporary Resort. We did it at the food counter next to Chef Mickey's.
In years past we were able to do them 1 QS converted to 3 snacks -- that was a great thing but again not everyone was able to convert them...had to do them at the Contemporary as well.

In July I had got 2 cheese & fruit containers at the carryout section of Sunshine Seasons in Future World, 2 Peach Fuze, and 2 Mickey Rice Krispy bars. They were perfect for the drive home, easy to eat in the car, no mess, didn't have to worry about refrigeration. The cheese & fruit was not a traditional entree, so when I told the cashier it was my entree, she rang them up as 2 continental breakfast (even though it was evening).

We seem to always have either CS or snack credits left over on last day so I always take a small soft cooler and use leftover credits either for sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich in DTD (they will use straight wrap I'd u ask) they have wonderful brownies and other desserts in great plastic containers or visit grab n go areas in resorts and purchase wrapped sandwiches, fruit bowls, ect to take on plane or eat in airport while you r waiting for your delayed flight at the gate where there are few food choices available!

Definately a problem but if you plan in advance and are taking hold luggage you can shove them in there. I did this last time then had a bottle as soon as we got our luggage the other side! The liquid rules are a total pain!

Yep, they are. I get so thirsty on flights. What we usually do, both coming, and going, is grab a diet coke at the airport (after screening) and take it on the plane. Sometimes I have been known to put an empty styrofoam cup (like from Sam's or McD's) in my carryon to transfer it over too. (I know, I'm a little strange!)

I have taken a few beverages home, always remembering to bring a ziploc. My problem is that we use the airline resort check-in so anything we buy after that we don't have our luggage. We take our extra beverages with us in the car (sytrofoam cooler or collapsible one I use sometimes as a carry on) and if we don't drink them all we will give them to the workers when we return our car. They are very happy to take anything that's not opened! This is what we do with our left over bottled waters too. Only unopened ones of course! A few years ago we were leaving POP with a bag full of bottled beverages and we end up giving them to a family, from Brazil, that had just arrived. They weren't on the DDP and were very happy to take them.

I always use our last 2 CS for a meal at the airport. We sit on the benches around the fountain where we can keep an eye on the security lines and people watch. Our favorite is Earl of Sandwich!! Travels well and YUMMY!

Either the night before we leave I'll hit up EoS for sandwiches (leaving early), or we're going to order extra mickey waffles and bag them up and take them, with some jelly packets for a snack mid flight.

That's the first I've heard of them doing this again. Let's hope it's a trend. Just goes to show it never hurts to ask.

We brought home 6 Krispie Mickeys in 2011 for 2 CS, but they didn't allow it in 2012.

This has always been our experience as well. We go every year in Sept. and always have leftover CS meals, we have never not been able to do the 1 QS for 3 snack exchange (done this at Contemp., Pop food court and ASMo food court). Last year, the CM's at the Contemp. would ask me almost every time we got anything that wasn't a meal there if we wanted to use snack credits or 1 QS meal for the snacks that we had.

I've read for a few years on the dis that Disney has stopped doing this, but we've never had that experience and plan on exchanging QS meals for 3 snacks at our resort for our upcoming trip in 2 weeks. Good luck!

We always end up with credits left over and i hate to waste them, definately a good idea getting food for the trip home and I may have to visit some of the above places to see if we can convert, even if its 1 for 1 i wont complain!
