I thought this was very interesting. ... and was also wondering how many of us would be right brained versus left since photography is generally considered art -and art is generally thought to be from more right brained people. But then again - to get great photography you also have to have a decent technical knowledge, so...

Which are you?

I dunno, I kept stareing at her breasts...

Actually I saw it going clockwise, but I have indentified with being more left brained. Since this article was in australia, do dancers naturally spin in the opposite direction like the swirl in the toilets???

I was able to make it switch back and forth at will. if I looked away and then looked back right when the figure was facing at it's most left or right, it would switch.

This actually circulated around my office a couple weeks ago, and I'll teach everyone the trick: EVERYONE can see it both ways. While watching, if you look at her feet for a few seconds, she should change directions. :thumbsup2

That is what I was figuring, or at least that is what the right side of my brain was telling me. The left side was telling me to just have faith....

I have tried and tried and tried and I can NOT get her to go counter clockwise for me. I have stopped looking and looked again - still clockwise. I have stared at feet until the blurred and still they would not switch directions.

:confused3

I saw her left-brained, makes sense, I am a bad photographer. I couldn't see her turning clockwise no matter how hard I tried.

We must be total opposites. ;) I sent this to my husband at work and he saw her going counter clockwise - he is an engineering manager. When he gets home I am going to see if he can get her to go clockwise.

I have a feeling he will struggle with that as much as I struggle with her going counter clockwise. Maybe opposites attract and or compliment each other. At least that is what I am gonna keep telling myself - we are coming up on our 22nd wedding anniversary so it must be true - right? :thumbsup2

side note - I was looking at that darn dancer trying to get her to turn the other direction so long and so intently I am feeling disoriented now. Maybe it is my brain telling me to knock it the heck off and embrace who I am. ;)

Yep! :thumbsup2 The first time I looked at it it went left the whole time. I went back b/c I hadn't read what it meant and it started out left and then after 10 seconds or so it started going right.

Totally clockwise. There's no way she's turning counter-clockwise. I think you all are just saying that to mess with my mind.

I use my whole brain.........I had her turning both directions at will. Since I had so much luck with that, I tried to get her to do a flip but she just wouldn't cooperate. ;)

Hmmm....I tried and tried to see her turn clockwise and couldn't do it. I thought it was a trick at first. I did notice that if I looked at her feet, I almost could see her start to go the clockwise direction, but as soon as I left the feet, I was spinning counter-clockwise.

I think now I see why I don't do very well in the weekly polls. No artistic abilities.

I'd like to know how its possible to make an animated GIF file (GIF image (animated, 34 frames)) that has an animation that could go either way?

All other right brain/left brain tests are still object or multiple choice tests.

Kinda what I was wondering.:confused3

Very weird

She was going counter-clockwise, and i glanced to read the text on the left (the descriptions) when i glanced back she was going the other way.

Cool though. Gonna get all my work mates looking at this.
