Hi

I am in the middle of booking my transfers to and from the airport and have chosen RSshuttles thanks to all the post on this site.

They have suggested a pick up time of 4 pm from our Hotel (HI), but I would prefer to be in the park till the last minute and wondered..

is there anywhere to leave our luggage at the park? (enough for 2 adults and 2 children) and is there a convenient pick up point that I could suggest to them? Has anyone been picked up by them from somewhere other than their hotel?

many thanks

Elizabeth

You can leave your luggage at Guest Storage just to the right of the ticket booths before you enter the Disneyland park. It costs 2.50 euros an item. If you decide to use them you could then arrange your pickup outside the train station.

However, if it was me I would use the left luggage room at the HI and get picked up there. You might have to leave the parks earlier than you would have liked in order to get back there but counter that against the inconvenience of taking your luggage on the shuttle bus, having your cases searched at bag check and then allowing time to check them in and out at Guest Storage.

Thanks for that, :thumbsup2 I hadn't thought about the luggage on the shuttle hassle,(the whole point of going with a taxi). I guess I wll have to accept leaving the park a bit earlier on our last day :sad2:

Not disagreeing with Ware Bears at all, that's probably what I would do too - but just throwing another option into the mix. You could arrange a pick up from the DLH, which would mean that you would just walk through the foyer of the hotel into the hotel car park after picking up your bags from Guest Storage (the door to the foyer is just across the way from left luggage.) The bag check on the way in to the parks does not entail opening all your cases - they just have a dog to sniff around them. This is just a possibility for you to consider, I haven't done it myself when staying at another hotel, only when a guest of DLH. :sunny:

We've always had to open our cases :confused3 perhaps we look suspicious?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

I saw several lots of people have to open all their cases in the security area this trip.

Maybe we look really innocent & virtuous

I think not!!!!! :rotfl2:

Seriously, maybe it's because we were actually staying in the DLH, rather than just heading to left luggage, although I can't really see what difference this would make.

thanks for your suggestions about the DLH, I don't fancy the luggage check much
just wondered though if you could leave you luggage at the DLH? would they know if you were just arriving or just leaving (or neither). long shot?

Would being at the shuttle park for 3.30 be enough time to get me to the HI for 4pm?

finally... I have always wanted to ask what exactly they are checking for in your bags? are they checking to see if you are trying to sneak food into the park or something more sinister?

I think leaving at DLH is for hotel guests only.

Personally I'd aim to get to the shuttle earlier. Since I know we would be panicing that we wouldn't have enough time.
