Lee Cockerell is an INCREDIBLE speaker! Heard him today in Shreveport.

Hearing him speak is well worth the cost of taking the Podcast Cruise II alone. His talk today at our church was a business leadership seminar and he did an excellent job interrelating business and personal life. He said for example, you don't give your kids an annual review. You let them know every day what you expect from them and if what they're doing is right, or wrong. He said you should treat your employees the same way. Time management was really big to him also. Boy at the beginning, he really came down on the Florida Governor. He doesn't like him at all. I did have a chance to talk to him a couple times. I did mention the Dis. He said he was looking forward to the next Podcast Cruise. I also mentioned Yvette from the Netherlands. He said he had dinner with her in Amsterdam 3 weeks ago. He has a website www.leecockerell.com that he post to 3 times a week with just general ideas and thoughts about business management as well as just life it self. He welcomes responses as well. If you ever have the chance to here him speak, by all means don’t pass it up.

Ah, man. I live just over the border from Shreveport in Texas. I would have loved to hear him speak. Was this a well advertised event? I ad not heard he was coming to town. But, I must admit I have a newborn so I don't hear much of anything these days
Does he have another speaking engagement while in town or is he moving on?

I posted it a couple of times on this board the past month or so. There was at least one billboard in Shreveport coming into down town. There were mailouts to many of the larger businesses in the community as well as several of the Universities. For a work day they had a pretty good crowd. I was told over 500 not including walkups. The room, however was completely filled.

He talked to several of the High Schools yeaterday and it seems that he did mention that he was going to be here a few more days. Someone won a door prize of a breakfast with him tomorrow morning.
