Has anyone every installed the LED underbody lights on either their RV or Golf Cart? I love the way it looks and I would love to get them, but I was not sure how hard they were to install.

If you have them, can you post picutres??

Thanks!

There's some kids near my office that could probably hook you up. They could also probably turn your RV into a lowrider.

Seriously, though, it shouldn't be all that hard to do. You can pick up the strips at almost any autoparts store, and it's not like there would be a shortage of low voltage lines to tap into under a trailer or motorhome. I have a light under the coach by the steps that would be ideal to tap into, and they'd be on when the porch light was on.

Haha, not that extreme! I just saw a cart have led lights under the body and it looked really neat.

I usually put rope lights around the perimiter of my RV, but it would be easier if I could just have them turn on when I am parked.

I rigged up blue 12VDC LED's under my motorhome with a 12VDC photo sensor with an on/off switch. It makes a great night lighting system and the color does not attract bugs nor does the light bother the neighbors. I don't have a picture with them on, but I will try to do one this week sometime.

The led's I used are about 2" long and have 5 led's bulbs per unit. I used 12 of these on a 38 foot motorhome. Two front & rear, 4 down each side. I got the led's off ebay and had to search the Internet to find the light sensor. The led's are sealed and are used a lot for courtesy lighting on boats.

Make sure you put the light sensor on the rear or driver's side of you camper, so that neither your patio lights or road traffic won't effect it.

I think I spent about $150 to do it, but I used a high grade wire for power.

And make sure they are secured well. We had them on using the clips that the lights came with and they ended up coming off while we were driving in a bad storm.
