Which one would you pick, lunch or dinner? We are planning on doing only one day at Epcot this year, and we do not have hoppers. It will be me, dh, ds5 and ds3. We tried LeCellier last year, and absolutely loved it. So this year dh said that he wants to do it again. But there are so many new places to try, that my head is just spinning. I think we would really like the atmosphere of Coral Reef, but dh doesn't eat any seafood. I was thinking that we could do Coral Reef for lunch, and LeCellier for dinner. But then it seems that we will spend a lot of time eating, and that would cut into our touring time. I'll take any opinions you might have. Or should we just try Chefs instead of LeCellier? :rotfl: I am so confused :confused3

If your DH doesn't like seafood then Coral Reef may not be the best choice. Here are the menus for both Le Cellier and Coral Reef.

Le Cellier: http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_lcd.htm

There are non seafood options at Coral Reef, I guess it just depends on how much he doesn't like seafood.....if even the smell of seafood bothers him, I would definately not do Coral Reef....

Le Cellier is my absolute favorite restaraunt at Disney! DH and I eat there at least twice each trip!!!

Either one is a good choice, have fun!

We've been to Coral Reef a number of times and enjoyed it each time, but we like seafood. There are a number of items on the menu for non-seafood lovers so you can find something to eat, but at Coral Reef you're really paying for the view. It's quite expensive for what you get to eat, but having the aquarium right there while you eat is pretty cool.

I would say if you've never been to Coral Reef for a meal, I'd definitely try it once, just for the experience of the restaurant. But to me LeCellier is a must do every trip.

My husband, 10 yr old son and I ate at both places last December. We had lunch at Coral reef and paid out of pocket and dinner at LeCellier for dinner.

The lunch at coral reef cost us about $55 with tax and tip and it was the best meal of the trip. My son had a pizza kids meal and the soda with the glowing ice cube. I had the blackened catfish with the cheese grits that was totally out of this world. My husband had the special of the day (I don't remeber what it was) but he enjoyed it and it came with a dessert that we spilt. We all had sodas. This was the best meal of the trip and we sat on the middle level in the restruraunt and it was perfect.

The dinner at Le Cellier was on the DDP so it didn't cost us extra. The food was good but not that spectacular. The bread sticks are wonderful and the rest of the meal was good but not great as I would expect for the most popular resturaunt in EPOT (that's what the CM said when I booked it). We all had steaks of some kind which were done to our liking but we had eaten there several times before so it was not something new for us.

Although some will disagree I would choose Coral reef especially if you have children.

ENJOY!!!!

I think I will make an ADR at Coral Reef for lunch and at LeCellier for dinner. I think my DSs would love the view at Coral Reef. We are not doing the dining plan this year, so we will see how it goes. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
