LeCellier Prime Rib or Filet

We are going to finally get to dine at LeCellier this trip (after sever trips trying). My struggle is whether to go for the Prime Rib or the Filet.

We love LeCellier. My favorite is the cheddar soup and prime rib. Have never had a complaint about either. DH has had the filet and has really like that also. I personally will stick with the prime rib.

Going in October as I was lucky enough to get lunch reservations. I'm gonna have the filet and subsitute the cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto.

Prime rib or filet is more of a personal choice. I love filet so that's what I always order (LeCellier or elsewhere). My wife loves Prime Rib so she orders that if she's really hungry or hasn't had one in a while.

Which do you prefer?

I had the filet with mashed potatoes and it was very very good (and I don't like anything to do with mushrooms).

We had dinner there last night. I got the filet with mushroom risotto. It was awesome!
If it were polite I would lick the plate clean I would have!

I had the fillet. It was wonderful. I did not think much of the rissoto however so maybe another choice there. The cheese soup was very good and they gave me a recipe card when I asked about it. This was the best resturant we ate at.

I am very much a meat lover in general.I like mushrooms but it looked like the filet was kind of small. Am I just seeing things? Or is it good size?

I always get the prime rib......and it melts in your mouth......made the mistake once of telling the server that I wanted it RAW.......well it came back and the lady next table over said.......OH you got the salmon.........I thought omg that thing is going to moooo ......sent it back for a few more seconds on the grill.....still melted in my mouth.delicious

I was satisfied with the portion, but I did get a cup of the cheese soup and ate 1 1/2 breadstick before dinner came, Oh ya, and the Molson too.

It is really up to your steak peference. Most people who order a filet love it for it's tenderness and no fat . The prime rib has fat running through it, which turns some people off. You can have prime rib at many disney restaurants, but I think you will not find a tastier filet in all of WDW.

I went in June and I subsituted the risotto for cream cheese mashed potatoes and it was excellent. BEST mashed potatoes I've ever had. Whole meal was great.
