We have a 6pm ADR with two little ones at LeCellier... I've been reading on some posts that others find it easier to use their table services during lunch w/ toddlers and babies. SO, I'm considering switching my 6pm ADR for a lunch one. Is the food much different at lunch? We've only been there once before... for dinner too.

So what would you do - lunch or dinner? and why?

We went there for lunch and liked it. What we ordered was available in smaller portions at lunch and of course at a lunch price. Plus it didn't seem as crowded since we scheduled an early lunch.

The menu is different. You can check it out on Allears. I have been to both lunch and dinner, although I did not have small children. Both meals were great, but I did think dinner was better. If I had small children, I would go at dinner, but make ther ressie for 5/5:30 or so, that way they aren't busy yet, and I would feel less stress that dining with young ones can cause. Of course you may not be able to get earlier ressies. As I said I do like dinner better than lunch, but if you don't think you would enjoy the dinner meal it doesn't matter how good it is. Lunch may be more relaxed for you.

thanks for your opinions- I really appreciate it! I will go check the menus on allears.net... I WISH I could get an earlier dinner... but at this point only lunch is available to rebook as it's in about 10 days. Oh well!

We have been to both and we love both but I would prefer dinner for the mushroom filet. I will say it was busy for both lunch and dinner so I dont think it really matters which you choose....check out the menus and see which one you like.

I would stick with dinner. My favorite thing on the menu is only on the dinner menu and we could only get lunch. :sad2:

I'd be surprised if you could even get a lunch 10 days out.. I've been calling 2x a day to get a dinner ressie.. I currently have a lunch but really want to mushroom Filet for my hubby... My ressie is for Sept 25th and I've had the lunch booked for a long time. I'd keep the 6pm and do dinner....

What is it??

Maple glazed filet Mignon!! They only have the petite filet with a garlic demi sauce  which is good but not my fave!!

Of course I mainly go there for the cheese soup, pretzel bread, and ice wine/ice wine martinis.

Since it will be F&W festival when we are there I joke that I am going to OD on cheese soup from the Canada booth:lmao:

FYI you can order the BBQ filet at lunch, they did it for us. You cannot order the mushroom filet (believe me I tried) because they do not have the items prepped yet
