How big is the Chicken/Chipotle sausage appetizer? I was thinking (hoping) it might be enough for lunch with a side of grilled asparagus. I wish Le Cellier had another soup choice instead of that cheese soup:sick: I know, I know...lots of folks like it, but cheese gives me the heebie-jeebies.

OMG!!!! This is my very favorite and it is the perfect size serving. The polenta is savory sweet and the sausage is wonderfully spicey (not too spicery-just perfect). When we go to LeCellier, this is what I get for dinner. It is served in a small cast iron skillet. The polenta fills the bottom and then 2 pieces of sausage, each about 4 inches long on top. It is absolutely the very best appetizer on Disney property! I want some right now. YUM :dance3:

DH had this last week, it was not that large, definitely would not be enough for him with a side, but everyone is different. Here's the picture, hope it helps.

might wait until after Tuesday March 1...could be that lunch menu is changing. We know the dinner menu is changing then (dinner goes to 2 credits/signature dining.) There's been some speculation that lunch offerings will also change.:thumbsup2

Cheese soup or cheese in general? If it's cheese in general (like me) you might find it difficult to eat at Le Cellier without modifications/substitutions. Some kind of cheese is in or on most of the menu items (even if it doesn't explicitly say so).

The mussels are also a very good appetizer for lunch.

I had the sausage & polenta appetizer. I thought the sausage was way too spicy (for me). If it wasn't as spicy as it was, it would have filled me up...but my husband says I eat like a bird...and I confess I eat very small portions (but lots of portions during the day :lmao:).

This is my favorite food in all of Disney- I had it for lunch with a side of mushroom risotto (which was so salty I couldn't eat it). It's not a huge dish but with a side it would be perfect. It is very spicy, but I LOVE it!!
(I also admit I did have a couple bites of DH's filet too:upsidedow)

Sounds great--thanks, everybody! Bad timing on my part--just saw the new menu, and it looks like the sides are changing too.

This is my favorite as well - I have two lunch ADR's booked specifically for the sausage and polenta. I usually either get the app and a side or the app and a dessert. When my dad and I went in December, we each got the sausage and polenta, and then two different sides, which we split. I guess it depends on how much food you require - some people can go in and eat an app, entree and dessert without any issues, but that's way too much food for me. I'm usually stuffed with just the app and side/dessert.

Where did you see the new menu?
I have looked for it, but not found it yet.:confused3

Never mind. Just found it on Disney dining website!!!!
Who woulda thunk it!!! LOL!!
