We're going back to WDW for spring break & while s lot of my adr's will be character meals
CRT (2x)
Chef Mickeys
Garden Grill
Crystal Palace

and some just fun
Coral Reef
Prime Time
Boma

I'd like one or two nicer meals this time....yes I know I'd need 2TS credits for Jiko...but that's ok if it's really worth it. We have 12 days in the parks and will be doing a split POP/AKL stay, so I thought going to JIKO one night at AKL would be fun....OR should I take LeCellier AND California Grill instead?

Traveling with me as always are my 2 girls 14 & 9 at trip time.

thanks for your opinions:goodvibes

Jiko's would be most convenient, but my recommendation is for Cal Grill. Loved it! Great view of the MK.

I would recommend Jiko and Cali Grill (if you can do both) or just Cali Grill if only one choice. Le Cellier is good, but the view and food choices at CG are amazing. I haven't been to Jiko yet (three weeks!) but I love Boma so much that I am sure I will love, love Jiko. Your ADR list looks fun!

California Grill would be my choice (its also two TS as Tiffany just said). Jiko is good and would be convienent, but I think CG is more kid friendly (the view is amazing).

cali grill for the view, but for me i always make it to jiko's. always split 1 of the flatbread's and i always get filet mignon with the mac&cheese. always grab a little from other's plates but the filet is 1 of the best meals ive ever had at any wdw resturant.
i might be a little more biased i guess as ive only ever eaten at cali once, which i did enjoy as we made adr's during the fireworks also. but i just like the surroundings at jiko's along with the killer food much more appealing on that same trip

I don't think any restraunt is worth two TS credits when lecellier's is only one.

Thanks for the feedback....I didn't know CG was 2TS - how'd I miss that! thanks for correcting me...Since we have room for 2 of them, I think Calif Grill will be one for sure...& then if I can fit LeCellier in for a time we want to eat the night we're at Epcot, that fine..if not that's ok too.

I'll save Jiko maybe for when the 9 yr old is a bit older.....I'm sure we're going to love AKL & stay there again.....

Thanks again everyone

I would dine at Jiko. California Grill is very good, but if you get there after 6:00 P.M. it can get quite hectic. Le Cellier is good not great, and the seating can get a bit too cramped.
I would rethink your choice and visit Jiko. Either way, have a nice meal and enjoy yourselves. :)

We are doing a lot of 1 TS meals this trip because we have guests with us - but we usually skip the 1 TS meals nowadays. We pay out of pocket and use the DDE. We have discussions about whether this is because our tastes have changed or because the food has gotten that much worse (its a little of both). Also, our circumstances have changed - we've done Disney often enough to be able to spend the time on good meals, our kids are old enough to sit through them with some amount of well manneredness, and our income is enough that the extra $500 this ends up adding to the trip is money we feel well spent.

Jiko is my choice. CG is great too, but I belive Le Cellier is just OK and not worth the hassle for ADR.

All 3 are great choices in terms of the food.

We ate at California Grill a couple of times when we arrived at 4:00 on our first day so had extra CS credits to use (we used them for a dinner) but I don't think we will do that again now that appetizers are not included. The best thing about CaliGrill are the sushi appetizers.

Without appetizers I just don't think any of the signature restaurants are good value. However, if you are on the Deluxe Dining Plan then they are a must unless you are a big eater and can handle 3 TS restaurants a day.

Ha! Just TRY and get a reservation at Le Cellier!

hahah yea I know LeCellier is a tough adr to get...but I'm pretty flexible...& pretty determined too...:rotfl: I think I may try to get an adr at both Jiko & CG, for the days I'm thinking....then as the trip gets closer....decide if I have enough money to pay oop for one...We'll see....right now the budget is pretty good for the trip...if I have to tighten the strings in the next few months that all could change

thanks everyone for your opinions!:)

Sounds like a good plan! You'll have a great time at either of those restaurants!! As for Le Cellier, we've always enjoyed it in the past, but we were there last month and, well I hate to say it, but we were less than impressed. In addition to the food being just so-so, we had a very long wait after checking in (probably about 40 minutes). This was the longest wait we had for any of our ADR's.
