This monday is my 180 days, and I've been reading how hard it is to get into LeCellier even 180 days out, that people are being offered 8pm or later slots. And then I read someone say, that is probably due to them keeping the earlier time slots for CP, and earlier times will be available once CP packages go on sale. If all this is true, can I book whatever is available 180 days out, but then when the CP packages go on sale I call back and book that for an earlier time, and cancel the first one, but not actually go to the CP. Am I allowed to do that? I kinda feel bad, because I don't want to take a spot away from someone who needs a CP package, but I also feel like if I am calling 180 days out, I should be able to get the ADR. What do you think?

Here's the 2006 info on the CP packages so you can decide if this will work or not. With the package, they will only give you certain times for your ADRs depending on which show you want to see. They will also charge a certain price which is below. I personally wouldn't do it.

What does the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package include?

The package includes dinner at select Epcot restaurants and reserved general seating at the America Gardens Theatre. No merchandise discount. Magic Your Way Platinum Package is accepted. Magic Your Way Premium and plus dining requires one table service. at any of the restaurants listed below. Restaurant Akershus in Norway is not included in packages.

You must eat PRIOR to your Candlelight show time!

Must guarantee the package with a credit card when booking. Payment is made when you dine at which time yuou will be given your tickets for the general reserved seating.

Package includes a non-alcoholic beverage. Package does NOT include tax, gratuity or lobster entrees.

I guess you could, but you will still run a risk of not getting the time you want. And, you will be charged at the time of booking. You have to give them credit card info at that time. I would suggest that you just call every few days to see what might open up for you there.

Thanks for the info, we are on the DDP, and I think last year you could use your TS credits for it. I guess I really need to think about this.

I managed to book 6pm at Le Cellier on the 16th Dec. I am not doing the CP, just having dinner.

I made my ADRs on 6-15 and I got Le Cellier at 4:20 pm. We do want the cp package but were told it wasn't available yet and as a team leader she didn't know when they would be available. We took what we could get.
As for your question, I wouldn't care if you booked it and then gave away your reserved seat ticket to someone waiting in the line for the CP.

When you book with the CP package when you are on the DDP do you still need to pay in advance?? Or is it like CRT where you give then a card number in case you don't show (but they don't actually charge it)?

I believe it is like CRT; if you are on the DDP they just hold the CC for no show fees.

The day that everyone who wanted a LC adr and didn't get one will be calling on the day the CP packages are released because they know there will be cancellations. SO call several times and for several days. Have a great trip.

That is what happened last year(and the first time they had lunch times).
I booked CP so I'd have something...then when the dates opened for CP I booked that...and then declined that 1st ADR-I think some people were lucky in just getting it switched to a CP package, but mine was for 6:30 and too late. Don't feel bad about the 2 ADR's...you will be canceling one when you get the CP Adr and trust me that is the day that everyone who wanted a LC adr and didn't get one will be calling because they know there will be cancellations. Have a great trip.

Actually, the OP wants to book the CP package when they go on sale and NOT do the package just to get a better time. That is what he is asking about.
