LeCellier 2 TS meal on DDP

I wanted to know when LeCellier will be considered a 2 TS credit meal (signature rest.) on the DDP? Not sure if it's worth 2 TS meal credits. Anyone know the date this will be effective? How many of you will still book this when it goes to a 2 TS meal?

I can't remember the exact date but it's in March. It will remain 1 credit for lunch even after that date.

I will still go but most likely it will be late lunch.

I hope they offer a different menu for dinner as oppose to lunch to make it worth the 2 credits.

The effective date is March 1, 2011. I am actually looking forward to trying it as a signature. I don't do the dining plan, so the credit count doesn't mean anything to me.

From the Disney website on Le cellier:

Effective March 1, 2011, dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse will be elevated to a Signature dining experience, offering an exciting new menu that will change seasonally and an expanded wine list.

So the answer to your question is yes.. you can probably also expect that the luncheon menu will be revamped as well.

I've only been there for lunch, so the status change doesn't really affect me much . But, considering my signature experiences this past trip, I will definitely be aiming for a Dinner reservation next year (I do plan on doing deluxe at least for part of my stay). Of course, it will have had that status for awhile, so if reviews are coming in bad before then, I may not. But, then again, I still might just because I like to see things for myself. Who knows .

No. We eat there almost every trip but when it goes 2TS credits we won't anymore. We'd choose a different 2TS restaurant to try....(like Hoop Dee Doo or another "show" type restaurant to make it worth it for us)

Le Cellier is overrated in my opinion and a little boring. It gets way too much hype and I'm sure Disney's looking for another DDP "cut" so this is it and because it books so fast many have a hard time getting in. Well the thing is it books so fast because it's probably one of the BETTER restaurants on property. and that's not saying much really - it's not better than what you'd get in a 5 or even a 2 star restaurant outside....I can't even compare it to Longhorn's....

We are looking forward to trying it as a Signature. We will have deluxe dining to the extra credit isn't that big of a deal. I will have to book the end of February before the reviews of the change start coming in but we can always change if they aren't positive.

Agreed on the cheese soup and pretzel bread....they must keep those!
