LEAVING TONIGHT!! Any pointers???

I'm sure its blazing hot, that's a given, but is there anything going on in DW that I should be aware of? Are there any rehabs right now and such? We're driving in from New Orleans, wondering about the roadways too. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Where y'at - Guess where I'm from? I have family there as we speak. I just tried to call but got voice mail.

Yesterday they said the weather was a little breezy in mid 80's. Crowds were light (about 10-15 min wait). They did Space Mountain from beginning to end in 8 minutes. In 3 hours they did, Splash, Thunder, Pirates, Space, Buzz, Railroad, Aladdin. This was great.

The ride on I-10 had some construction in and around Tallahassee (they were there about 8:30am in regular work traffic). If you drive a night you should be better off.

When do you expect to arrive and where will you be staying? When I hear from them I'll PM you.

Thanks yesdisneyfool! That would be great. We are leaving pretty late tonight and staying the night in Pensacola, as some of our Disney brigade lives there. YIKES! When I think about it, tomorrow we will be hitting Tallahassee in the morning too, around 9:30. I better brace myself for the traffic and construction!

Got me pegged.

Just got off the phone with family (11:00 Disney Time ). They are in AK. They got there at opening (9am). Crowds very light 10-15 minute waits. They did Kali Rapids 3x's in a row (the CM let them stay on because no one in line). Also, did the Tree of Life and Tough to be a Bug. The are on their way to Rafiki. They'll call me later when they get to Epcot.

Oh I want to be there so bad, if I only had a way. Wait, you're going, can I hitch a ride.

When do you expect to check in and where are you staying?

We're staying off grounds this time around at a friend's condo, we're getting there around 3 p.m. tomorrow. I love the updates from your family. Unfortunately for me, I will be hitting WDW just in time for the big Memorial Day crowds.
BTW...I grew up on Dominique in Buccaneer Villa North.

They're leaving on Saturday 5/25 (MK is expected to be opened until 11pm). If you're not staying on site that's OK at least you'll be in Disney. I'll try to remember to post later when I hear from them in Epcot. My DD is graduating from Cabrini (8th) this evening so I'll be away from about 5pm until. If I miss you, you have a magical stay and say hello to Mickey for me.

Don't forget to post your report when you get back. BTW we are on Veronica.

2:15 Disney Time. Family on there way to Epcot. Crowds still light at AK they rode Dinosaur (kids ducked so were not in the picture) and the new Primeval Whirl 3x's. All rides working (that they saw)

Weather still breezy and mid 80's. Going to give Blood at our company's blood drive. I'll here from them later.

We just got back from a 10 day vacation at Disney. Stayed at the Dolphin. The crowds were light and we were not at the parks when they opened. WE would arrive around 10 am. Our longest wait was at Magic Kingdom to meet Mickey. We overpacked and brought too many snacks. WE had our limo driver do a grocery stop and picked up a styrofoam (sp?) cooler and three cases of water. We also picked up chips and fruit which we did not eat. That was the best thing we did.
