Right after school tomorrow, we are hopping in the car and on our way!

We are leaving tomorrow after our kids get out of school too! We only have a three hour drive, so we will be there by late dinner time.

We (daughter & 5 of her friends) leave Monday morning from Mississippi. 12 hour drive...

Honestly, it's not so bad. We switch off drivers and bring labtops for movies. It really goes quick and its so nice when you actually see the first palm trees in the Carolinas!

i drove to orlando two times, about 21 hours. only stopped for the basics.

never again.

now i will only fly.......

in hindsight, I'm old.

there were a few beer-fueled road trips from IL to FL in high school and college that were spectacular.

old guy rant: we didn't have video ipods and portable dvd players. we drank beer from Big Gulp cups on the way down and slept the trip off in shifts.

As a kid we made the NY/Florida drive a few too many times so now as an adult that will never happen.

Your in my spot! Your skin is touching my skin! Your leg is over the line! I need to stop and pee after we just did, twice. I'm hungry! Stop singing so loud! I want to listen to 'my' music get your 8 track out of the player and put mine in. Yeah I know I said '8 track'. It was always worthwhile when we arrived though.

Oh yea! The 8 track player and the clunky tapes! My husband still has a few of those tapes, they are so bulky. My sister and I used to kick and pummel each other in the back seat of our car while my parents were oblivious to the seething anger that was between us!

Is anyone old enough to remember Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale????
