Going to WDW tomorrow night (trip is Wed-Sun.)

Only my second trip to WDW as an adult, last was in 2014.

Any last minute suggestions, can't-miss things to do or bits of advice?

I'm intimately acquainted with Disneyland, but much less so Disney World.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you could share!

Write down everything you need to take, documents, electronics, paper records, tickets, cash, cc's, etc. Everything. Show the list to your ALL your travel partners - wife, kids, etc. Make sure your thumb drive is updated if you're taking a laptop. Get everyone to think of THEIR lists and add. A brainstorming session, so to speak. Save off a copy of the list and then add for subsequent trips.

Take photos of anything you might need on hand like passports, or take screenshots of reservations. Also, one thing that helped me on our most recent trip is putting reminders on my phone to remind myself to make Lightning Lanes, or that the parade is at this time, etc (but make sure you make them in Eastern Time!) Other than that, remember to have fun!

If you like coasters, be sure to have an Epcot reservation, and try for the virtual queue at 7am (and 1pm if you miss getting a boarding pass at 7) for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Take your time walking back into the countries in Epcot - the details, even way back in, are something we love taking in. Same with Animal Kingdom - so much different than anything you have, and the details are exceptional. I'd highly recommend seeing Pandora in the evening, after dark. So different than it is during the day, between the glow and the noises.

If you're a solo traveler, it's so much easier to find/pop into a space to see fireworks in the Magic Kingdom, and a good place to watch Harmonius. I'd watch both, as they're certainly different from anything you have at Disneyland. If you can catch the 50th Anniversary beacons of light in each park, I'd hit those.

Lower your expectations. Things have changed drastically since 2014. You will not accomplish as much in WDW as you would in DLR.
So much this. I can't speak to WDW vs DLR, but the amount we accomplished in our April trip was the least we have on any WDW trip. We still had a good time--it was just...different. Have a Plan B and generally be flexible.

Check the weather often, and be prepared for the usual afternoon pop-up thunderstorms (which can hit or miss whole parks entirely). For me, this includes making sure I have at least 2 pair of shoes/sandals in case one gets doused (I don't carry them to the park, just make sure I have a dry pair hanging out at the hotel). Think about a poncho/rain jacket/small umbrella; I would usually not take or wear, go back to hotel in middle of the day, then check weather and go from there.

If there is bad weather in the area it can cause some/most of the EPCOT food booths to close or modify how you order, and it can take forever. So, if there is bad weather coming and you are hungry, don't wait to grab something to tide you over... learned that the hard way. lol

Just returned from an early August trip and was able to do everything we really wanted. The new Genie situation and lightening lanes do take some getting used to, but we were able to have basically the same trip as always, just cost a bit more.
