We just got back yesterday and tried both. My kids preferred TL. DD is 7 and DS is almost 10. The 7 year old wanted to spend most of her day at the wave pool--they don't have a wave pool at BB--she just loved "body surfing". TL also has those three new "water roller coasters" which we all tried. They are pretty intense and I would imagine a thrill seeker would love them. The theming is much better at TL--since its supposed to be a tropical paradise, the foliage is so beautiful. Since BB is supposed to be "arctic" there are not alot of trees around. I do agree that the family raft ride is much better at BB--my DD said the one at TL was just "pathetic". I really wouldn't waste my time on that. We actually went to the water parks three times, and I now consider myself a pro. If you are going to spend a whole day there, get there early. We showed up at TL at about 9:20--they opened at 10. There was already a line of probably 150 folks in front of us. They let you into the park about 9:30, but don't let you down to where the chairs are until 10. Of course, there was a mad dash for umbrellas and shaded areas, but there were plenty for everyone. We stayed until just about closing and while we ventured away from our "shady spot", no other guests infringed on it. So get a shady spot, and then you always have a place to come back to and get out of the heat. Reapply sunscreen at least once--it seems that the risk of sun burn is greater here than in th eparks--I think the wave pool really washes the sunscreen off the little ones. Also, I think TL has more sandy beach areas than BB--if you want some sand. And finally, we spotted Lilo and Stitch at TL--saw no characters at BB--if you are interested in seeing them. Have fun wherever you go!
